punched in the prompt for not being bothered by any more of these calls and was treated to a return solicitation! am listed with the donotcall so these guys should be off the line, right?
"Kevin" would not give me any info, but kept asking for my utilitiy number, etc.

By what I can see from Googling "Energy Choice Assistance," these scammers apparently are spoofing what look like local numbers to wherever you live - those of us in the 973 area code get this 973 number, Chicagoans get 312, etc. Phishing for personal info from your phone bill. Bottom feeders. Tar, feathers and rail would be appropriate, but you'll find it easier just to hang up or not answer.

Yet another call from these scumbags.. I always press zero now, and give them an earful, but I'm tiring of it. I'm going to try to sign up with them, so I can find out who the owner is. Then everyone who keeps getting bothered by them can sue the sorry SOB....

Wanted to peruse my electric bill. I punched "talk to a rep" option. Spoke with agent 1229. Said they were "Energy Choice Assistance" Would not give me a phone number or website to legitimize their call. Rolled off a bunch of energy assistance programs that I have never heard of, and I know a bunch about energy. I asked for a supervisor who was unavailable - in a meeting. They said would not give out their number unless one enrolled in the program. I called them dirty rotten scammers, #$@#$ and told them to stuff it up their #$#@$ and to #@#$# off. That was fun.
