Same. It's a pre-recorded message, but by the time I answer the phone, they've already said what the service name is. Trying to call the number back just gives a prompt for being placed on their do not call list, no company name provided, etc. Pretty sure they've called me twice in the past two days.
grace 2011-06-06 21:08:30 Unknown
they left a message that sounded like R2D2 on helium .. totally unrecognizable words

Called me twice in last 2 months. No voicemails, only a call.
Subu 2011-06-06 21:08:30 Unknown
I received a call. When I called back, it was continuously busy.
dz 2011-06-06 21:08:30 Unknown
didn't know the number, so I didn't p/u; they didn't leave a message...same thing as phone # 253-473-3386...when I look into switchboard.com and reverse phone info...these come up land lines...so some people are getting paid to telemarket at home or are at somebody's home office making these rude, they'll get their dues....calls...idiots!!!
jb 2011-06-06 21:08:30 Unknown
I rarely give anyone my cell phone # so not sure how these people got my #. I didn't get to it before it stopped ringing so I called back and got a recording that didn't identify who it was but said press 1 if I wanted to be taken off their calling list.
ear 2011-06-06 21:08:30 Unknown
picked up, silence. hung up.
mari 2011-06-06 21:08:30 Unknown
These are telemarketing calls. If you have not requested a "do not call" for your land or cell phone number, they get your number from a database and have a rotary system that calls one after the other until they get a response. An answering machine will take care of the land line; There is usually no message left if a live person doesn't answer. I have to pay for any calls I pick up on my cell phone so I have started refusing the call if I don't recognize the area code. AT&T white pages list 973 in New Jersey, 253 in Washington(Tacoma), and 225 in Louisiana (Baton Rouge).

Unwanted call claiming car warrenty.
Frank 2008-12-31 23:22:00 Unknown
It's a scam. Same here they want my info before they can provide it on a supposed warranty renewal for my car. When press they quickly hung up.
j 2008-12-31 20:48:17 Telemarketer
Got a call from these jerks on my landline. They say ur cars warranty is expiring and you should renew. Then all of a sudden its an extended warranty- and once u answer some questions- you will be transferred over to their "professional warranty providors". They ask ur name, then ask for your vehicle make and model....hello, they should know that info! I told them so and hung up- I believe this to be a fishing call for fraud. The lady didn't seem surprised when I told her they should already have this info if they are contacting me. She was quick to say goodbye too. They should be shut down in a hurry! This practice is making ppl too acceptable for having their personal info robbed. I was told they got my number by random access....sucks
Real ticked because I ended up paying long distant charges, I think because I pressed the button and the phone started ringing- this isn't right!! I am calling the police today!

I also received a call about this about 5 minutes ago.. Trying to tell me about the warranty on my car.. I know for certain there is no warranty on my car hahah..
None the less I took the proactive approach and hit *60, then pressed 3, and entered in the number - 973-406-2024 then pressed #.
For those of you that don't know *60 is selective call blocking by the per number basis. You can also press *77 and that will prohibit blocked numbers from calling you.
This should effectively prevent unwanted callers, unless of coarse they constantly change telephone numbers.. Then there is a problem.

Received a call from this number on my Tracfone that is used for emergencies. Luckly I did not answer , but I still don't like the fact that they got the number and called.

Called 12/18/2008 on my personal cell phone which rang about 12 times. I did not answer since I was on my office phone at the time. I checked here and found it was a telemarketer. I will not answer.

Jesus this is getting irritating. These scum called my wife a couple of weeks ago from a hijacked landline number, and now they're calling her again, multiple times a day, from a different number.
Why are they allowed to operate? Why have they been arrested for fraud yet?
Carlos 2008-12-17 22:12:31 Unknown
Simply calls, no voice message. Soliciting on cell phones, go figure...
SM 2008-12-17 18:45:30 Unknown
How can we stop these JackA@@eS from calling!!!!!! just annoying and being interrupted
Michael 2008-12-17 18:21:23 Unknown
Keeps calling, saying nothing then hanging up. When I call back a recording with no identifing information just tells me to press 1 to be taken off the call list, which does not work as it says it will take 24 hours but I still get these calls
Cherrybomb 2008-12-17 15:55:49 Unknown
I got a call from this # on my Blackberry - which I do not use for a phone. Not happy about this.

Prerecorded call about how my manufacturer's automobile warranty may have already expired. May (or may not) be related to my Toyota Prius, because the local dealership has this number and overuses it relentlessly.

This is a scam. I answered. Message said to stay on the line for important warranty renewal.
When the lady answered, she seemed very nice and explained that it was a renewal or reinstatement of vehicle warranty. She explained that she had no info only that her job was to collect information then transfer them to a specialist.
I asked to speak with the specialist to find out what kind of scam this was and how well it was working for them. She explained she needed to collect info first. I told her she must have it already as she called me.
The skank hung up on me instead of transferring me.
I am going to keep answering and harrassing them. The advantage of being stuck home because of a disability allows me to be an a***ole to any telemarketer stupid enough to call.

I got a call from this number too. Has anyone discovered who it is???
Asher 2008-11-07 19:12:15 Telemarketer
Just got a call. Got called twice yesterday by the same RI number. Their recorded message was picked up by my voicemail. First it was a car warrenty and now their messages are saying that their latest thing "won't cost you any money, except for the $29.99 monthly instalation fee. No obligation necessary!" A monthly fee sounds like obligation to me. Psh.
These people go in spurts, they'll call a lot, and then stop, only to start back up again. Will it ever end?
