I keep getting messages from this number (as well as a few others), claiming to be from "Kaplan MediationInvestigation Group", alleging that the person they are looking for is a "person of interest in an ongoing investigation confirming an identity." The person leaving the message is a "Melinda Brown" but yet when I called the number back, I also reached a male claiming to be the "lead investigator" who then proceeded to ask me for the case no. and the number that was called. He also asked me for my workcell no. as well as home address which, of course, I did not provide to him. The calls are getting more and more threatening in nature although I asked them to stop, especially since I am not the person they are looking for but just simply have the same last name as that person. Short of blowing a gasket, what can I do to stop them from harrassing me and my family?

I continuously keep getting calls from this number actually looking for someone else and claiming an "ongoing" investigation.  When I finally called them back and advised that they have the wrong number, the person I spoke with tried to ask me questions of personal nature, more or less "implying" that I actually was the person they were trying to reach.  Can't be sure but it seems more like a bill collector rather than an "investigator."  At any rate, if they don't stop calling I will have to take action against them.
