They called me and said the company that worked on my computer last year had gone out of business. Wanted me to go to my computer and fill out a form so I could get my money back. Told them to send it to my email add. and I would fill it out. Wanted in my com[puter so He could help me fill it out. I said no, that was the 4th time he called today. I hung yp on him 2 times but he wouldn't quit so I turned off the phone . He has called 2 more times and I see the # and just don't ans. He sounds Indian can't hardly understand him

985-657-7574 called, someone with obvious accent informed me he was calling from Windows......seriously? Windows is a system not a company.....I receive these calls about twice a week. I told him to go to he!! and hung up.

Don't give them ANY info!  They call me several times a month. Got so pissed at them I went out and bought a small boat hand held air horn......you get the rest of the picture. :-)

Just got a call from this number, caller name 'Unknown', at 5:56 am. Message was 'Goodbye' in female voice.

The same guy just called me this morning.  I would describe him exactly as you all have.  Said his name was Justin, in a heavy accent.  When he started his deal I said "Justin, you need to stop right now.  Never call here again.  The next time you call I will call the police."   But he kept right on talking and wouldn't listen trying to convince me that the call was legit.  Finally had to just hang up.

Get calls from this number almost on a daily basis.  Used to try the Support desk scam but now just hangs up.

such a crock - they try to convince you that something is wrong with your computer "have you notice slow running computer?"  "you have been hacked, mam please turn on your computer and let me help you fix it"...on and on.  the whole time he's TRYING to speak english i am googling the phone number.  he's very pushy. i finally hung up on him. So creepy.

Same Indian sounding guy just called with the same story. I refused to give any info or do as he asked. I asked for phone number to call back first 922-452-678 not enough numbers then he said add 123, I said now too many do you have an 800 number? he said 800-547-8088 but the number on my phone said 985-657-7574. What a crock........ beware

same as above, they are trying to get into your computer with your help so they can snarf info you send via secured connections, etc.
Number on caller id is probably fake as 985 is southeastern Louisiana.
Caller's accent is South Asian.

Caller said they were calling from windows and would fix my computer. I told her she was a fraud and that I would sue her if she called back

Can't the phone companies do something about this??  Or maybe Microsoft?? It never stops. The last time I just kept screaming, "I don't want your calls"  Until the "native" English speaker with an Indian accent hung up.

Just got the same call funny thing is I run a Mac not Windows. Told him to F himself and hung up

Got a call from 1-985-657-7574 says he was from Windows (name John with  foreign  accent) and my computer has a problem. He asked me to go in front of the computer for him. I said no I will not. He asked why? I told him I more important things to to do right now. He asked what brand of computer I have. I said Linux OS with only a command prompt. He still wanted me to go my computer. I then told him I had a Macintosh with 10.7 OS and I asked him if that was alright. He hung up. Then he called back a few seconds later and said we were disconnected. I told him he hung up on me and he should find a better way to make a living then trying to get me to go to a web site and give him my credit card number. Then the line went dead again.

This is about the sixth time someone calls and identifies themselves as from Windows. Seems like they don't want to associate themselves with a branded company name. About a year ago our IT dept at work first warned us about of this type of scam. Sure enough a week later I got the first call. I strung the guy along (identified himself from Windows). for 45 minutes. He tries to gain your confidence by telling you common hidden things within your computer environment that you normally wouldn't check, like looking at your event viewer, reciting a numeric file code which all computers have. He tries to determine the OS environment (Win XP Home or Pro, Win7...etc) by asking what you see and what symbols look like.
He told me I would go to jail for not working with him over the phone. I told him I was going to throw my computer away and get a Mac. He got very agitated and repeated that I'm going to jail. I told him to report me and he hung up.
Since then I got 2 left messages with the same opening line of my computer hacking their server. The last call was from someone that sounded like an older lady (nice soft older voice) but I told her not to call anymore. Apparently they just don't give up but fun to string along.

A guy with an Indian accent called and said he was technical support. Told me to go to my computer so he could access it. I told him he was a scammer and hung up. Beware!

My grandma answered the phone and they told her the same song and dance and she told him "my granddaughter is the only one with the computer and shes not home." He gave her a number "18003479966" But it came up on our caller id as the number listed and I looked it up.

I want these stupid calls to STOP!!!! They are obviously trying to sell me something, they don't announce who they are or leave a message and when I call back it says the number can not be completed as dialed, please check the number and try again with a code 33011Z5 (and it isn't a regular operator computer voice - it is from their number) so they also DON'T have  "Do Not Call" list that you can access so they are going to keep harassing me.

same thing just happened to me....  the guy became rude and actually told me to go f**k myself when I told him I wasn't going to do what he wanted

person spoke with very strong Indian accent, said he was calling rom Microsoft software support before I hung up on the scammer

I just received a call from 985 657 7574.
He wanted to help me with my computer.
He said he was calling from California.
Although he had an accent [probably from India]
he said his first language was English.
He did give me an 800 number at my request -- 800 347 9066 --
but wouldn't/couldn't give me an email address.

Got a call and answering machine recorded.  He sounded middle eastern and was talking like he had marbles in his mouth saying some mumbo jumbo crap that didn't sound English.  Don't know what he said and blocked number.

I normally don't answer calls with unknown names but I did this time.  East Indian guy tells me "I am from Windows and our server recorded your computer has been hacked".  You are from Windows HUH!?!?!    Wow your server scans every computer in the USA and perhaps world to see if we have been hacked.  Thanks!  What nice people!   Your "Windows" company must be a recipient of the "income inequality initiative".   Yea right.  No thank you good-by.  How about you morons get a real honest job.

Is this person or persons accoiated with Al Quada? If so would some one please eliminate this problem!!!!!

This is the third time I have gottennthis call. When my answer machine starts they hang up.

Got an obscene call from this number

I played long for a minute and then hung up on him after telling him he was trying to scam me. It came in on caller ID as unknown name and unknown number. My phone range a few minutes later with this number listed so I answered it, not knowing it was the same guy. He'd called me back and yelled, "Why did you hang up on me, witch?" And then he hung up.

Humorous....all the way to blocking that number.

Same as above.  Hung up when I answered.  I called back and disconnected number in Louisiana.  Don't these guys ever give up!!
