SCAM IGNORE THEM!!!! NEVER GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION! !!
Jasmine 2014-06-30 23:16:18 Unknown
Oh yes the old Federal Legislation Legal Department. Call from multiple numbers all different area codes. Want to have you of your attorney contact them and wish you luck with the outcome if you don't! Lolol
Ignore them and block every number they leave a message from. Eventually they go away! Been about a year ago now.

The last time I recivied a call from Roger Davis I told him that I knew he was a scam artist and his company did not exist. He has not called back since.

I have received several calls from this number telling me that they will serve the papers for my arrest tomorrow at work and cause a large scene at my place of employment. They know my home address and say I owe for a payday loan but they are unable to tell me who is filing the lawsuit. My work has already turned the number in for harassment. But this is getting ridiculous.
Carol Miller 2014-05-01 00:05:43 Unknown
I received a message from them stating either my attorney needs to call them immediately or they can only wish me good luck as events unfold. These types of scams are disturbing! I've dealt with similar calls from a different and actually let them know I'm onto their scam, at which point they hung up on me. Sure wish these calls could be stopped! Imagine how many people fall for it and lose money...

I just received a threating phone message from a Jaswal (could not understand his name) saying that I or my attorney have to return his call as soon as I get this message. Tried calling them back and it is busy. I think this is a big scam and I do not know how they got my work phone number. Plus I have not requested a loan.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans
Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010 FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691
The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim?s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims? relatives, friends, and employers.

I have gotten several calls from this number from a guy claiming to be Roger Davis from Brittany and Gibson Legal Associates. When I called back to ask for this Roger Davis they hang up on me. They have also called my job and left messages.
Shelita 2014-04-25 19:57:14 Unknown
He also said his name was Danny Morrison and that he could take a payment of $200 I asked how he would take the money. He said that he would explain when I called back with the $200
Shelita 2014-04-25 19:54:38 Unknown
I received the same call earlier today on my cellphone. The Indian guy told me that I owed $698.23 for a payday loan. When I asked what was the name of the loan company he said " you don't know who you borrowed money from" and I said excuse me. He then stated that if I didn't pay that amount in full today. That on Monday morning officer's will show up at my residence and place of employment. Also that I would be arrested and serve jail time.
shari 2014-04-25 19:40:08 Unknown
I just got off the phone with the same guy. First red flag-Frank Lewis, really??? I could tell by his accent his name's not "Frank". Then he said I owed for a payday loan and would be arrested. When I told him I hadn't received a loan he claimed it was for the application fee. He said I could settle by making a payment of $239.00. I told him if I had $239.00 I wouldn't have applied to begin with. Anyway, he said he will give me 1 hour 30 minutes to decide what I was gonna do and then they would see me downtown in handcuffs.
snyper 2014-04-25 17:15:24 Unknown
I just had a thought....
Brittany Spears - contemporary pop queen
Debbie Gibson - old school pop queen
That shows the level of imagination these crooks have.
snyper 2014-04-25 17:13:50 Unknown
That sounds like a 419 scam
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/419_scams
You should report these scum because not only are they breaking the rules of the FDCPA they are also breaking other laws by charging you a "fee" to borrow money.
Mick 2014-04-25 16:58:06 Unknown
I received the same call...said he was calling from Brittany and Gibson Legal Associates and that I owed them for a loan application fee...I never even applied for a loan.
Natale 2014-04-25 00:33:45 Unknown
I have been getting calls on my cell and work from this number .... message saying that I needed to "retain an attorney". The Indian guy can barely speak English. I called back and told him to stop calling and trying to scam me. He started screaming that it's not a scam and I will find out tomorrow when the police come get me - then, hung up. Ya, right!!
AMBER DAVIS 2014-04-24 21:40:34 Unknown
