No message for me either... I have been receiving lots of calls to renew my warranty - maybe this is the same deal? I try not to answer any numbers that aren't in my phone book.

Sounds like CID spoofing to me so it can't be legal whatever they are trying.

Just got a call from 989-732-0439 did'nt recognize the number.

Automated dialers can be set to call any group of numbers, and they can "spoof" to make it appear it comes from any number. The lady/ladies who have that number registered to them might be completely innocent.

It seems as though they've somehow been able to get a list of prefixes that are cell prefixes since that seems to be what they're getting.

This number (989 732-0439) came up as a missed call on my new mobile phone.  I only got this phone and the new number a few days ago and so far I have only given the number to a couple of friends who have not passed it on to anybody.  I'm guessing the caller got my number directly from AT&T?

i just got a call from them and did not answer. i'm from CA, and I had registered for donotcall.gov over a month ago and these random calls still keep calling. I reported them as it is already. If it is for vehicle warranty, its a scam because I do not own a car at all!

These calls can be spoofed to look like they come from any number.

They called on a work cell that I have to answer. I played along to try and get as much information as I could when it was clear they had no specific car they were calling about. The only "company name" the supervisor could give me was "Warranty Services" as well. They said they weren't allowed to give out an address or phone number, and they claimed that they weren't the ones who called. They say it was my pushing "1" that transferred the call to them.

I know it's probably a waste of time, but I'm hoping the FCC will act if they get enough complaints. And maybe if they decide to act, they might be able to eventually get a decoy to "buy" the warranty and then track these people down.

I took the called put on hold for 5 minutes, then a woman came on the line and asked me if I wanted "Extended warranty informations for my vehicle". I asked who are you and she hanged up.

Warranty on your vehicle has expired automated message.

I just got a call on my cell phone from this number.  They are hawking extended car warranties.
I asked for the company name and was told Warranty Services which was probably bogus.  I then asked for the address and they hung up.

These folks are using  VOIP for their calls and spoofing the originating number.  They do this to keep from being caught.

I have no idea if the service they are selling is legit or just a grab the cash and run scam.

I keep get calls on my cell.  I'm on the East Coast.  I did a reverse search & got the name of somebody in MI.  I get these calls all day long and its annoying.  I registered w/www.donotcall.gov, but u must wait 31 days before u can file a complaint.  I'm sick of this  s--t!
