Also receiving spam calls from 240-582-2777.  I never answer the calls.  They never leave a message either.

I have to admit that they are just relentless as posted by others.  They fed me some crap one time stating that "others in my graduating class have donated $250," how much are you willing to donate?

I told them all my expenses, etc. and the kid wouldn't let up, finally after about 6 different things I hung up on him.

The truth be known, I believe they use this extra money for events and parties, more than for what it is actually intended for like scholarships, etc.

I'll be damned if I am going to donate money to a party that I'm not invited to.

What is more interesting is the fact that the kid wouldnt let up, and while I was telling him the truth, either he wasn't buying what I was telling him, or he is truly naive about how the real world is when you have to get a job, a home, and have real expenses.  He probably lived at home with mom and dad.

I added the number to my cell phone as a contact and labeled it as "UMUC Alumni B***s***" so next time I would know not to pick up the call.

While I graduated in 2003, I am still paying my federal Direct Loan.  I did not get a free ride from my employer.  Work helped out some, but I think I value my education more because I paid for 99.99% of it.

I have been called about four times. I asked them once by email and once by phone message to stop calling. They still call so I am blocking the number and writing a letter. What's scary is that I have never been in contact with them in the 15 years since I graduated, have moved about six times, and have had two prior phone numbers. They still found me.

I don't mind UofM calling me...but this action does not reflect well on OUR school.  I'm sure the Dean would be interested in hearing about this.  Maybe a quick e-mail might wake them up a bit.  Wouldn't be so unprofessional if they would leave a message and not call at 8:30 at night, agree?

Yes, it is the University of Maryland. I am an alumni and they have called me repeatedly even though I have asked them to stop. I am mraking this as a telemarketer call since the Universitity is choosiung to behave like one in calling and hanging up without leaving a message, calling me at 8:30 at night, and refusing to acknowledge my request to not be contacted.

I keep getting phone calls from this number, I don't answer and nobody leaves a message. I don't know anyone in Maryland!
