They've been calling me for months saying I qualify for lower Con Ed electric bills, but it is a scam because I don't get an electric bill (it's included in my rent).  Now they are calling about government assistance due to Sandy.  I finally picked up and asked for a phone number for their company but the women said that she wasn't authorized to give that out. I asked for the name of the company and she said 'Electric Assistance'.  Total scam if they aren't even willing to give out their phone number (which I had on caller id as the number above).  When I said I wanted them to stop calling and that it sounded like a scam she hung up.  The caller id showed it as 'Winter Savings'.

why is it every Nov-Feb these scammers come out in force (more so than other times of the year). I hate ESCO's. They are just a big ripoff. They even have reps come door to door and they always start out the same "we're not trying to sell you anything. We work with ConEd"blah blah. Total and complete lies. Yes, they are selling something (overpriced energy contracts) and No they don't work for/with ConEd. ESCO's are independant energy suppliers. I actually had one (Citizen's choice) make and record a fake phone call of a person impersonating me! They had sent me a "Welcome letter" and when I called to say I did not switch, they played the recording, which was obviously not me. They said they would fire the guy, but I doubt they did. They probably get half their business falsely and most people don't fight it. Be very careful of these thieves... both on the phone and in person.

Got a call pick up and no answer.

I've gotten so many calls from this number over several weeks that I finally called it back.  A recorded male voice instructs you that if you wish to be on their "Do Not Call" list, press 1.   I have no faith that it will work since I've been getting calls from another number telling me to press 3 if I don't want to receive any more phone calls.

What good is the Do Not Call lists?

Calls and hangs up when VM answers. WINTER SAVINGS  My guess is it is one of those energy delivery companies that rip you off.

I get at least three phone calls a day from this number. I have begged them to stop calling me.
I am battling an illness and I can never rest because of these phone calls. I called their number today
and spoke to a rep and asked her to stop calling me. She said it would take 48 hours. I have been
asking them to stop calling me for weeks now and they never stop.
