Re. "methinks this number ... actually medical debt collectors, despite the medical device affiliations mentioned here", IMO the reported calls appear to be from a legit or scam company telemarketing personal alarms in Nov 2012 which is really not a "medical device" of any kind. The rest of your post baffles me.

methinks this number, like the recent robocalls from 201-606-3436 and 434-236-4020 are actually medical debt collectors, despite the medical device affiliations mentioned here. The donotcall list is a joke to medical debt collectors, as is the FDCPA, CanSpam Act and lots of other federal and state laws. Two+ years ago I refused to pay a medical bill supported by altered electronic medical records--and altering medical records has been illegal in Virginia for years and nationwide since the HiTech Act of 2009. Robocall schenanigans with "card services" started soon after I persisted to get a human, who turned out to work for a company owned by people previously sanctioned by the FTC, and who told me the company doesn't have to comply with the FDCPA so long as it names its medical provider partner. Turns out, the FTC delegated jurisdiction of all medical debt collection matters to HHS's Office of Civil Rights, which basically does nothing. When I complained, I even got a guy from the HHS OIG who refused to give his name but admitted electronic medical record alteration goes on all the time (though its illegal) and blamed nonenforcement on Republicans zero-budgeting the HHS OCR. Which seems just another runaround.

My health insurer brags of political clout in all regulatory agencies--fed, MD and VA among others, so it doesn't have to follow the law, and can hire people like this to do some of their dirtier work. Or maybe this is just a psy op, for both the "privacy officers" delegated authority by the company, HHS and state regulators told me that they "always win" and advised my only alternative was to get other insurance, while assuring me that all insurers do the same thing--which in my case also includes diagnosing me with a medical condition just after I joined (which becomes a preexisting condition and impedes switching), then not treating it according to accepted standards and finally putting a false diagnosis date, which happened to be the date on a letter to their California, Maryland and Virginia offices which they never replied to (and continue to insist they never received). Go figure.

Oh, yeah, and one privacy officer specifically said Virginia's legislature affirmed medical record alteration as a property right in2010 and the Bureau of Insurance person said they had to follow a new legal opinion, but that she would get fired if she told me who issued it or the date. And it has never showed up on the SCC or AG's websites. But in 2010 a law about umbilical cord blood banking passed, supposedly to be put in the Virginia code in the same place that as the "unalterable pdf" electronic medical records statute is, though that was never repealed. Instead, after I complained, nothing was done about either my case or the common practice, but another new pocket part was printed and distributed.   The only "law enforcement" response was a phone call on the day I delivered a package to Senator Grassley. The guy claimed to be a u.s. capital police officer, chewed me out for writing Grassley and wanted to discuss specifics of my complaint package by phone, but refused to give me a phone number where I could confirm his law enforcement status (and of course refused my offer to meet face2face).

I have received calls from this number before but I always hang up......and yes, they bug the heck out of me!  I actually listened to the recording today and although I can't tell you WHO the company is, it is a recorded message targeting Senior citizens about getting an alert system.  They give the option of pressing "1" if interested or "5" if you want to be removed from the call list.  I pressed 5, and they better not call again!!   I, too, have signed up for the Do NOt Call list so I am bugged that they even have my number.

Called at nearly 9 PM, even though we are on the donotcall.gov list. They have called previously and we ignored it or picked up the receiver and hung up on them. We reported this call but don't hold much hope that anything will be done.

Scum of the Earth. I wish these people would get real lawful jobs and leave the rest of us alone.

Received quite a few calls from this number on 1/4/2013.

Answered the call and the caller hung up.

Got a call from 434-236-4020.....Answered....they hung up...Called it back....This number no longer in service....Whoever it is...DON'T CALL!!!!!!

Got call from this number and no one spoke just silence!!!!!  Hello! Nothing! What happened to the do not call list!

I just gotten a call from this number and no one said anything.  When I called it back I a message saying that

I've gotten calls from this and alot!!!!!!!! of unavailable with no # and ones that show up as out of area

Caller showed this phone number. We live in this area code so my husband answered thinking it may be someone with a new phone number that we didn't recognize. Nobody responded to his "hello"

12/26 515PM  RECEIVED A CALL FROM "UNKNOWN"  WHICH I REFUSE TO ANSWER THESE CALLS,  WHAT A NUISANCE AND DISRUPTION TO MY PRIVACY!!

I only answered because I'm expecting a call from an Insurance adjuster....  Said Hello Twice, no response just hung up.  I'll go with the flow and say a scam or sales call.

I know a few people in and around Va.
However, when a number comes up  and I am not sure I will not answer. This number has recording "Out Of Service or "Has been disconnected". Yes I did try to call them back. I was expecting a call and thinking maybe  on an off chance that this number may have been someone I knew.(?)

This number calls my house at least one time every day for about a month now....emergency devices paid if on medicare...like who gives a damn...if I wanted one, I would call someone..they sure as heck aren't ripping me off!

On December 1 ,2012 , I got a call from this number and no one spoke up. I called it back and was told the number was not available.

Please take my name off!!! Don't want any more calls!! These calls are very annoying!

It's the same group that has Rachael call you about stealing your credit card.  Total scam, report it and ignore it, the Feds will.

Got the same robo call.  Selling medical alerts to seniors.  I pressed 1 to get a live person on the line.  I usually tell them that I want to know who they are, what company they are with, where they are located, and for a number I can use to call them back....  

They usually hang up before I can finish....  this time though, it got disconnected... not sure why.

We got a call from the number on November 26.

These are rbocalls from a phony, fraudulent fund raising company that uses a variety of phony numbers.  Don't bother answering, much less giving them a credit card number over the phone.  

If you have the urge to donate to a truly worthy cause, contribute to your house of worship in person.  You can be assured they will truly make good use of the funds.

I have the same problem with this number. 434 236 4020,  is located in brookneal, va. I have several calls and when return, msg. is mailbox is full.  Maybe it is from Liberty univ, Gerry Falwell and company.

I also have receivd numerous calls from this number, leaving no message.  I try to call back but just get report "mailbox is full"  this area code and first 3, comes from Brookneal, Va. probably not political as nov. 6 has passed. anyone know who it is?
