They are a telemarketer. If you want to have a real effect give there office a call or two or ten every time they call. If everyone who gets a call, returns the favor maybe they will get a life. It is not so easy to change the corporate number.

Rec'd a call yesterday during working hours - they asked to speak to the person in charge of insurance - I said that was me. He said he was with United Health Care and wanted to send info about coverage. I politely declined, told him not to call back and hung up. He was very polite; however, when I came in this morning, there was a missed call that went to voice mail from the same name/number. No message was left. I suspect I'm going to be getting calls from this number for at least a few days. Now, it's time to get nasty.

The caller ID showed name of May Volkart but person who identified themselves as the caller was the name of a character in a movie 20 years ago.  Also, what they wanted to know was if I had any questions about a healthcare quote I got a few weeks ago.  I told them they could not help me and I already got other insurance.

United Healthcare called. Wanted the owner, asked for him by name. When I informed her that the person she asked for had passed away two years ago, she said "sorry" and hung up. I suspect that wasn't sincere condolences.....

Elderly woman named Joanne calling for our vice president. She said she was calling from United Healthcare. Eventually she realized she needed to speak with our HR Director.

My caller was selling employee benefits.  Definitely a call center; still a pain though!!

A call just came from this number - a lady stated she was with United Healthcare (the caller ID stated "May Volkart".  She asked who she should speak to about health benefits.  I told her we do not have health benefits due to only a few employees left at this point.  She became a bit pushy asking if I made the healthcare benefits decisions.  I told her yes and she asked my name.  I told her we are not interested and we hung up.  I am way too nice to these people - I should have just told her "not interested" and hang up.  We get an average of 10 - 20 telemarketing calls per day from different companies.  Luckily I can dodge a lot of them because we have caller ID.

Our receptionist got a call from this number and they guy said he was Ryan with United Health Care.  Wrong....it was a telemarketer.

SEVERAL CALLS IN THE PAST WEEK ESPECIALLY, SAYING UNITED HEALTHCARE.  ASKED TO BE REMOVED FROM THEIR LIST, SHE SAID SHE WOULD, WE'LL SEE.

I got a call today 2/19/08 to my cell #. I didn't reconize the number so did not answer.  No message was left.

I got the call today, but they left no message.  I tried calling back but got an answering machine message.

Wanted to speak to the owner/ who ever handles health insurance decisions for the company. When  I said they are not available they did not want to leave a message just quickly said they would call back.... Good Luck. HA!

It looks like they are still at it, as I just got a call on 22 DEC 2008. I had same result as others... they call and if you answer they hang up...

I think this is not the first time they have calle, but I hope it is the last... ;)

I got a call from this number today... left a whispering message... called back and got an answering service to leave my name and number and have it removed from their call list.

They called me on my work # and left a message.  A recorded message from a company named Alkamai (they do web service stuff) inviting me to their conference in Boston.

I got a call too, at 7:20am PST tuesday. I answered, but it disconnected. I called back, but got a recording that I can be removed from their list if I left my name and number.

I get calls from this number several times a day, they hang up and never leave a message. They must be some scum bag janitorial or cleaning service supply sales people; they are the worst!

This numbe calls my cell phone every Monday and Thursday around the same time.. it drives me crazy. even Att wireless can't trace it.

This number belongs to United Health Care and he asked for the owner's name, verified it, and then politely told me he would try again later.  I tried to get his call back number, but he refused to give it to me.  SO, I had to dial *69.  He can try all he wants--I will never send his call through to the owner.  :o)
