I got a text message from this number a few minutes ago saying that I have been chosen to receive a $200 gas card.  The text message came from a 5 digit number... no name, no real phone number.

I had t them texting my iphone and called AT&T. AT&T said I could have numbers blocked for a "fee" and I told the AT&T customer service fella that at $75/month I didn't have any interest in paying more "fees" and would change service providers if AT&T didn't take action to stop not only these clowns but others who were texting me. I use text only for important family communication and it is the only communication I have audible alert set for on my phone for good reason.
Within 2 days I stopped receiving any more malicious text messages no charge from AT&T. About time!

Got an unsolicited SMS/text from them. Something about a free gas card. SO obnoxious. I get to pay for being spammed on my phone!

some one  text about a 100.00 gasline voucher. i sent a message stop txt stop? what they problems. i can't help them?

I have received TWO texts from them in 10 days.  I am on a NO CALL list.  This is ridiculous as I'm being charged for my texts.  Something needs to be done about these people or they need to start paying my phone bill!!

I CALL AND THEY GAVE ME THE SAME THING...IT ONLY TOOK 6 WEEKS TO GET HERE THOUGH...AND THERE NOT IN INDIA THERE IN PLANO TX...................

i called and they sent me a 200 dollar pre-payed mastercard with 191 dollars on it 9 dollars they said was a processing fee.

I contacted verizon to block 51297 from texting me and within 5 minutes of getting an email that it had been blocked I got the text "you have successfully unsubscribed from  Cash Rewards Mobile Offerings alerts. For more info, please contact us at: support@l1sms.com".... apparently not blocked?

I too get these unwanted text messages/offers. They piss me off. I texted them back about twenty times just to screw them up. I also reported them to the FCC. These texts ARE illegal and they know it. What about people who have to PAY to recieve this crap (texts)? File a complaint with the FCC people!

My husband is getting messages like these saying he won a $100 gift card and when I called the number, 877-283-7428 to complain that we are on the do not call list they said that cannot be because they adhere to the policy of not calling if you are on a list.  I sent the text to have them stop and got the same message others have that we have been taken off the list.  We have to pay for all text messages as we do not pay extra to text and these are getting me really angry.  Got 2 today so far, hope they stop soon.  I am hopeful that I can get these to stop and have put them on a block list with our carrier.

My best friend has been getting annoying texts from this number. Since texing "Stop" to them, they haven't obliged and continued their time-wasting "$200 gas card" texts.

Being a former debt collector, I called the number back to scare a bit of the law into them. When I told them they were harassing us, they promptly hung up. I called back and asked them what company they were from. Another *CLICK*. Immediately I understood that this was one of the more shameless scams.

Having a phone with speakerphone and enjoying a Friday night in, it became apparent that this was to become tonight's great amusement. I called them back and played along. I asked them if I could use the gas card for ice cream. They said, "No, it's just for gas."

"What if I filled my gas tank with ice cream?" I asked earnestly. The befuddled Indian man on the other end paused. "No," he repeated. "Just gasoline."

"How about vanilla? That's my favorite flavor." Click.

We called them back. This time it was my friend's turn.

She played along as well, and quickly got to the part where the man asked for her address.  We told him, "1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington, DC." He then asked for the credit card number.

"I don't have it with me right now," she said. "I'm in another state. I trainhopped here and I'm not sure where I am."

"That's okay," the scammer reassured. "Can I call you back?"

"Sure," She replied. "But don't call this number. I stole this phone."

The scammer had no reaction. "Okay," he said again, "What number can we call you at?"

"I'll give you my mom's number," she said, and gave him the rejection hotline.

Same junk as everyone above. l1sms is a company that spams SMS messages to you for third party vendors.  If you send "STOP" back to them it only stops that particular vendor from contacting you again.  Instead, type "STOP ALL" and all communication from l1sms.com will cease.

Another time their phone number was 877-695-1619.
Today I replied with a text massage which said ?STOP? and I received the following text:

You have successfully unsubscribed from Cash Rewards Mobile Offering alerts.
For more info, please contact us at: support@1sms.com
Sender: 51297

I also reported them to the Do Not Call registry (for all the good that will do).

I have told all of you to STOP!!! texting me on my cell phone. A** of you are connected and just use differant phone numbers to discise the same old scam. Stop all of it NOW!!!! Pass the word along--------NO more of yoyr crap........................

I called the number and they were NASTY!!! She told me that I was calling her, so I shouldn't be so upset. And yes, they are in India. If you read the terms/conditions on their website it says you must text "STOP ALL", not just stop to be removed from the text list. So aggravating.

Yes they did the same to me.  I filed a complaint with the no call registery as well.

Got the same gas card text solicitation as others from 51297.  Did not call back or text back.  Stupid SPAM.

recieved text saying I won a $100 Walmart gift card. I am on a do not call list and this sort of phishing drives me batty.

I recieved a txt today and called them back,the girl on the other side sounded Indian,she told me her name is Nancy Mccain ,i asked her from where ,she said from Pheonix AZ.LOL

its a total scam,she said she will send me $200 vouchers ,only i have to give a one time $2.95 via credit or debit card

its a total scam be careful ,dont fall for it
