Didn't leave a message. I called back and no one answered.

I answered the phone and a woman acting as if she was familiar to me said, "Hey ____, What's going on in there in Michigan?"  When I inquired as to who she was, she hung up the phone.

For me, they claimed to be a pen printing company.  I got 3 calls, 3 days in a row and it was basically the same routine.  They act like they are your best buddy, "hey, how is the weather out there in ---(pause while they look for your city.)"    Ironically, I acted interested since I am looking for a pen distributor, but as soon as I said, "I would like some information because I will be providing this service to my customers," the conversation went down hill.  The guy told me that he, "just started here" and that he "didn't know much information" beyond their sales pitch that they need to "eliminate 30,000 pens in inventory before the end of the day."  Between this and the 800,000,000 other phone calls trying to get you to accept credit cards, government grant money, etc etc etc.. I would advise to anyone to list a "spam" phone number to put up initially until you are established.  I really hope that the owners of these businesses are raped by demons as they are continuously licked by the flames of holy hell fire!

Cold calling to sell personalized pens and magnets to business owners, at least that was my experience.  Also hung up on me as soon as I said that type of product doesn't really apply to our business which I thought was rude after giving me full court press including asking how the weather in my city was (which he knew and used by name), attempting chit chat about how the weather in san diego was, he also said some wierd stuff that i guess was an attempt at humor but i didn't really understand what he was talking about.  I'm not surprised to see that other people are getting rude calls from this number but I'm shocked to see just how rude.  Must be someone trying to get sales that doesn't care if he's rude, or several people at this business all using the same wonderful business model.  People like that don't deserve to make money in sales, you can be polite when someone says 'no' and at least say 'thanks for your time have a nice day' instead of hanging up.  jerk.

Jerk: "Can I talk to the business owner?"
Me: "Who is calling?"
Jerk: "This is Kyle"
Me: "What are you calling about?"
Kyle: "This is a business call."
Me:  "I'm sure it is.  What is the nature of your call?  Can you be more specific?"
Kyle: "We sell specialty products.  Are you the business owner?"
Me:  "I am.  You mean specialty products like pens?"
Kyle:  "Well, we just sold out of our pens, we just moved 30,000 of them.  But you sound like you're in a bad mood."
Me: "Well I ..."

This caller said he was Scott from VPI. He tried to make chit chat (staying out of trouble, etc.) when I asked what this was about. So, I asked him to put me on his do not call list. He said you are already on it ;he thought that was funny and hung up.

People are rude...when you question them, they just hang up...

Called asking for the owner, told him the owner isnt available.. said he'd call back later. He wouldnt leave his name or what company he was calling from.

A "Jim Bishop" called from this number and asked for a person who is no longer at my business.  When I replied that obviously he was not a friend of the previous owner, he replied "F*@% you" and hung up!

I said hello and said I was on the other line. He said I will call back. I asked for his name and he would not leave a name.
