Got a message to call Crystal Pierce at this number.  I've received the faxes from"Newt" and based on others' comments, I will not take my time to call her back.

a lady named Kathy Sorenger called asking Joe Gurecky to call the 866 number about an important task force that Newt was forming and would like to get Joe's permission to issue a press release that Joe was going to represent Texas on this task force.  When the number was called, it was asking for money.

Jacqueline Deal call of Newt Ginrich Task Force on Jobs & Prosperity.  "I have been selected to represent Illinois" I search the internet and found this is a scam!

Kept getting calls to company switchboard from an unknown number.  Automated dialer hung up on me 19-20 times the other day and again yesterday.  Finally just said "hello" instead of company greeting and a representative came on the line and requested an employee's fax number.  Not knowing any better I gave it out, thinking the calls would stop.  They started calling again this morning, and again I said "hello" to get a person.  They asked for a different employee's fax.  Again, I gave it.  Immediately I received another call, and this time I let the representative have it, asking could they please stop calling because their automated dialer keeps hanging up on me.  He apologized and asked for a third person's fax number.  This time I paid attention to who they said the company was (AMERICAN SOLUTIONS), and googled it after giving, I'm sorry to say, a third fax number.  (In my defense, I am a contracted employee, and do not presume to know the company's business and tell a caller they cannot have a fax number).  After reading these posts though, I called the removal number I saw listed (866-430-8737) and entered all three fax numbers to have them removed.  I am not sure if it was the correct number, as the recording did not state a company name, but hopfully it will work itself out.  It did say it would take up to 10 business days to take effect.  Needless to say, I will NOT be giving out any more fax numbers to American Solutions.  In fact, if I start getting hang-ups again, I intend to say "hello" to get a person and then hang up on them!

Live Caller asked for individual business owner by name, identified herself as "Marianne Daniels from Newt Gingrich's office,"  identified me as reportedly being "selected" to be on a "task force" and needed to hear from me before "press releases" went out.

Note that the caller id did not show up but the caller left the toll free # to return the call.

They even answer the phone, "Newt Gingrich's office".  This has to be illegal!!!!

Woman from American Solutions representing Newt Gingrich - asked for our small busines owner's name and fax # - refused to give info out - she left me this number to return call - something about getting on a press release - # comes up 'out of area' so they're obviously blocking the calls - more solicitation bs - just what a small business doesn't have time for - nail these jerks if at all possible!

Received the Newt fax today.  Looked like a scam so I Googled it and found this website.  Our office will not be responding in any way.  The # to call back was different though.  877-318-3865

Nothing but low life scam artists.   What are the chances that anyone would randomly be chosen to be on Newt Gingrich's task force?

Some of you are giving Newt too much credit for not having anything to do with these faxes and phone calls. I got a fax for my husband, same as above (no phone call yet) but I looked up American Solutions and it seems from their site that Newt is an integral member!!!

These posts really help...my husband got a voicemail @ our business asking to call "Donna Holmes".  She asked for him by name and she said that Newt was assembling a "task force" re: healthcare in which my husband was selected to represent our state.  They need permission for a press release, etc., etc.
But after reading other posts here, I'd have to say, no thanks.

Ditto! Haven't received my first fax yet though. The women's voice tipped me off, as no one would have hired her to make legitimate phone calls on their behalf.

After saying "hello" several times, a woman identifying herself as Amanda from American Solutions called requesting to speak to the owner of the business (said his name) and was also requesting our "fax" number to send confirmation that the owner of our office was "selected" to participate in a panel of business owners (re: Newt Gingrich),  and they wanted to do a press release on him.

Bevery Brown called from Ameriacn Solutions and asked that I return the call.  This may have been a follow up to an unwanted FAX from Newt.  I believe political calls and faxes do not need to follow "no call" lists.

Got the same call to speak to my boss for this supposed task force, told the woman he was not in and I would be the person handling as such "release" she caught an attitude and proceeded to ask to leave a message. I took her number and foolishly gave the fax number which i told her comes directly to me. Ultimately i will just continue to deny their incoming faxes and should they call back tell them ever so politely we want no part of what they are offering.

Received the same voicemail re newt's task force, representing my state, etc.  Asked that I call back at 866 716 3386.  Will not be.  Thanks Amy G.

I am contacting Newt myself - I was sucker enough to actually go along with this scam.   I am sure Mr. Gingrich would love to hear how is name is being used for these scams.

PURE AND SIMPLE, IT'S A SOLICITOR - FROM THE OFFICE OF NEWT GINGRICH.

I received a fax and message from American Solutions about the Jobs of prosperity taskforce claiming they needed my approval on a "press release". I was very upset since I did not agree with much of what was presented in the supposed "press release".

As a small buisness owner, I am trying to run a company and don't have time for these "games".  If this was a legitimate taksforce, they would not be selecting people at randon without knowing if they support the position. I wish there was a way to stop these people.

Wanda Payne from American Solutions called. Asked for the owner, by name. When I did the 'ol "she's not available" line, she asked for a voicemail. Told her I was the voicemail. She then verified our fax by reading the number to me. I should have said it was incorrect.

Sounds official...Call back immediately...unfortunately gave my fax number...bummer

The caller left a message for me that I had been selected to join the jobs and prosperity task force due to my business' success.  The caller was from American Solutions and they played a message from Newt Gingrich asking me to join the task force.  It would include private surveys, I would be representing my state, and I would be invited to attend meetings in Washington but they were not mandatory.  After I accepted the invitation to be on the task force, she proceeded to ask for a donation to support the Wall Street Journal ad.  When I told her I didn't donate money over the phone, she asked if I would donate less money, I again told her no and then she just hung up the phone on me.  Needless to say, I don't think I am officially on any task force and I believe this is a phishing expedition for people's credit card information.  Watch out.

We called to get taken off their fax list (Newt Gingich junk faxes), then Stephanie Moss called us and said she was from American Solutions and wanted our fax number and our owner's voicemail number.
