I literally just got the exact same phone call. Also thought it was a scam because I didn't enter to win a car. I entered to win an iPhone 4.

i got this call in may and forgot about it until i was cleaning out my voicemails. tried looking up the 773-609-6095 number that it came from but no luck. thankfully i thought to check the number i was supposed to call back. this sounded like a scam. i do enter sweepstakes but you would think they would say what company or promotion it was that i entered. the lady was stacy lockheart and supposedly i won a 2011 suv, $25,000 cash, or other prizes. yeah anyway. wish it were true but oh well.

I just received this call from Stacey Lockhardt at 773-609-6092, left a message saying I won and SUV or $25k in cash. The call back number was 877-449-1749...prize distribution center...
Thank you everyone for posting this, I'm sure it is saving a lot of people time and frustrations!!

What a scam! This is the number that was left on my answering machine by some bogus operation (312-445-0507) - telling me to call it so I can claim my "prize" - I'm supposedly a winner in some contest I entered "some time ago" - with no mention of who's contest. Yeah, right! I never enter contests and everything about this smooth talker just reeked of fraud - probably wanting some upfront payment in order to release the "prize" - a "2010 SUV" - just laughable, and totally bogus.

Just had a message from "Charlotte" at 877-449-1749 with extension 2002. She said I had won a 2011 SUV or $25,000 in cash plus other valuable prizes. She is "eager to talk". Well, I hope she is not holding her breath. I did not register for this and pretty sure it is a scam.
My number is on the No Call List.

Received a phone message saying I had won an SUV. Caller identified herself as Susan Wilson
Billy 2010-12-12 23:45:23 Unknown
Susan Wilson called me too with the same lingo. I missed the call and her messege was left on my answering machine. Nice voice. I don't care about the SUV but I would have liked to ask her for a date.
Lkurz 2010-12-09 23:34:01 Unknown
I just received a missed call from "Susan Wilson" not 5 minutes ago saying the exact same thing. Probably will not call back as it seems everyone is in agreement that this is a scam. Rats, a 2010 SUV would have been a nice xmas present ;D
margo 2010-12-09 15:51:45 Unknown

Skeptical 2010-11-23 21:32:49 Unknown
I just got this exact message. Thank goodness for Google so I don't have to waste my time and energy on these scammers!!!

Level3 is a telecommunications company (like Sprint, or AT&T, or Verizon). While Level3 may own the number, it has most likely been assigned to one of their customers.

Ah Ha!, so glad I google'd the phone number, lots of other folks are just as suspicious as I am. I did note an undercurrejnt of "maybe", but we all know it's some kinda scam or a hook to get us to spend our too-hard earned money. Shame on them, Good for us for being on guard.
Pay attention to the fiunancial pundits, they are actually starting to admit that a serious dollar crash is coming and soon. Continue to be alert, there are some very smart people out there who are going to try to find new ways to bilk you out of your $$ based on the coming difficult economy. We're going to have to be even more suspicious!

Got the same call on Saturday 3:44 PM. Caller ID said Dept PC and phone number was 312.436.0782. Got the load of bullocks that I too won a 2010 SUV (or other great prizes) from a contest I entered "some time ago". Must have been quite "some time ago" because I haven't entered my name in a contest since the 1980's. Gave me 877.449.1749 to call as well. I think IF I call, it'll only be to tell them that I'm on the "no-call list", so I'd like their info so I can report them.
Andrea 2010-11-20 17:17:23 Unknown
The same thing happened to me (2010 SUV). I will not call, either.

Me too, a 2010 SUV if you call the 877 number. who has time to waste on potential identity theft. Happy Thanksgiving to all. BTW who is Dept PC anyways! ( as shown on caller ID )

The message starts, in a woman's voice, "Contacting you with the verification Department..." like the name and the company name are cutoff on your machine and continues on with "your name has been computer selected" from a drawing that you entered for a "2010 SUV and other great prizes" to call 877-449-1749 so a "highly trained director" can speak with you. This is supposed to be for a "prize distribution center," but if it is anything like I know about the biggest prize will be a dollar store watch or "diamond dust earrings."- You know, the kind car dealerships give out on big, big invitaion only sales events... Anyway, if you call, the message will ask you to leave your name and the state you live in and someone will call you back. This to me sounds like "Sherry's post (15 Oct) is the right one here. For a Sunshine Travel agency and you have to book a flight to go pick up a prize in a DIFFERENT state, and that prize does NOT have to be the vehicle, but the 'and other great prizes" - you know like the "diamond dust earrings" worth all of $1.40!
Stunk of scam/telemarketer from the moment I heard the message. And when was the last time YOU entered a drawing for an SUV anyway? You are too cautious to give your name to ANYONE nowadays.

Got a call from 773-362-4448, telling me to call 877-449-1749 to speak with a "highly trained director". When I call, just to see what it was for, the woman that answered said her "system was frozen" and someone would have to call me back.
TJ 2010-11-16 15:04:01 Unknown
I just received a recorded message from 773-409-4786 telling me I had entered a contest to win an SUV and I needed to call 877-449-1749. I went to the white pages to see who the phone numbers belonged to, The 773 area code number was an unpublished number and the 877 toll free number search said it belongs to a company called "Level 3 Communications", phone number 720-888-1000 and their web address is www.level3.com.
I won't be calling them back, but still curious about who it is that hired them.
A-non 2010-11-16 00:39:01 Unknown
i also got the suv congrats call i just called them and left my number now i have to wait for them to call me back , at which point i will ask them various questions and read what everyone wrote should be fun....

You need to show up with your credit card, 2 forms of id. credit card is muy importante. Of course it's a scam. The "presentation" lasts 90 minutes and you probably will not get the Lincoln Navigator.
anonymous 2010-11-10 03:54:03 Unknown
I'm not the previous "anonymous" but anonymi rule! The usual scam, if this is a scam, is when you show up for your prize, you'll have to attend some kind of sales talk (that's why everyone has to show up by X o'clock) where they'll try to sell you timeshares, vacations, etc. The prize may or may not be worth your time because (I've read) it may be a $99-off coupon for a cruise instead of the cruise itself and you have to buy the cruise to get the $99 off. Just be careful and always ask for and read the fine print. Good luck, folks.

Got the same call from a "Susan Wilson" at (773) 829-4216. She left a message that I won some contest for a 2010 SUV, and to call back at the 877-449-1749 number.
Laurie 2010-11-09 23:19:31 Telemarketer
I got the same call and went here first to see if others have received the same call. They said I had done a sweepstakes and that I have won a prize. The said that it had just ended and to call that number to see what I had won.
I believe it has to be a scam so I am not calling the number.
Tracey 2010-11-06 19:31:20 Unknown
I just received a call also from Susan Wilson saying I won a prize and that had to call to claim. I do enter
drawings on occassions but I am pretty confident it is a scam after reading some of the posts.
anonymous 2010-11-01 16:58:55 Unknown
Beware when you show up to claim your prize, you may be required to first attend a time share presentation (just another hidden gotcha) and there may be so many other gotchas attached to the prize that it isn't worthwhile. Won a car? Who knows, maybe it's attached to a time share you have to buy to get the car.
Julia 2010-11-01 14:27:10 Unknown
Got a call from Susan Wilson (no company name given) who said they were responding to our entry to win a 2010 SUV. We did not enter anything for this. Sounded suspicious, so looked it up and got this website. Did not call them and will not.
Wendy 2010-10-22 03:25:35 Unknown
I got a call from this number saying I had won a car - figured it was a scam - hence my going on line to try and find out who they are.
