Keep getting calls on my cell phone, if I can answer it all I get is a click. This number needs to quit calling all hours of the day. Some people work nights and sleep in the day.

how does one report a number that keeps calling? Is there a place to list this number?

876-281-7310  Said his name was Bill Diamond and he was calling (my cell phone) to tell me I had won the mega millions for 1.5 million dollars.  I asked him how he got my information, he said from filling out a coupon at wallmart, wallgreens, or cvs (nope not me).  He said i had to call another number they would tell me everything  876-783-4306.  I asked if he was calling to tell me I had won 1.5 million dollars, why did i have to call another number - he then stated he was a telemarketer and they were the training department.  I asked him to put me on the do not call list - he hung up on me

I play porn when they call. Most of the time they quit calling. Lol

This company was calling me for over 6 months.  It is CBCS (Credit Bureau Collection Services), a debt collection company.  They were trying to collect a debt for $234 from over 10 years ago (that I legitimately paid long ago).  They buy expired/old debt for somteimes less than a penny on the dollar and then try to collect.  they will not stop calling.  Finally I told them that I did nto owe them anything, I was NEVER going to pay them anything, and to quit calling.  they got very nasty on teh phone.  I told them I was reporting them and they said "Who cares, we get reported everyday."  I hung up, reported them, they still called for almost 2 weeks before I had my lawyer send them a letter to stop.  Then and only then did the calls stop.  btw ... check your state laws as all are different, and see what the statue of limitations are regarding old debt.  You may not be legally obligated to pay the debt.

I saw your message which surprises me as I do not live in USA and have no affiliation in USA so am I also one who say I owe no one, as sadly I have received two missed calls with no  message on my answer phone. I had another incident like this but a company in the UK with a similar circumstances and yes it was a scam as they want me to tell my personal information over the phone.

I received a call from this number and they said it was for a debt I owed. I did some research on the number and read that it was a scam. I then contacted the company who I had incurred the original debt to and they gave me the information for the agency they sold thedebt to. They gave me this same number. So, this is NOT a scam, just a bunch of people on here that don't want to admit they owe for something.

I continue to get phone calls from this number, however, when I answer it states please wait and no one comes on.
I do not conduct any business on the telephone. I must have a hard copy. If it is not in writing it did not happen.
I have no idea who this is?!

They've got me too. Everyone knows who it is, and lots of people here also know this is a scam. Watch out, if there is some public record of you as well attached to your phone number. They just sent me a letter too, with the same bogus claim that I owe them money. Law enforcement NEEDS to get involved. You're on notice CBCS: one more phone call, one more letter, and I'll go down to your P.O. Box and the first person that shows up will be in traction that night. You're in my home town. If law enforcement won't protect us, fine. I'll do it. I'm totally sick of your crap.

I have no idea why they are calling I am not behind on any bills and I have never heard a message like the recording that was left kind of hilarious. If I owe something send me the bill in the mail...

I received a phone call from a "Nancy" from this number for my blind, disabled, wheel chair bound mother-in-law at my home phone number which is unlisted and they do not have permission to call!  This is the second unwanted call I have received after telling them not to call my home... it's not enough I have to care for her but I will not be harrassed by these unwanted calls to a woman that has altheimers, breast cancer, just got a pacemaker and is blind from a stroke.

Got a call from 888-281-4491 and they said they were trying to collect a debt. Said the company they were from was CBCS, which when I Googled seems to be legit? Not sure though. I do not have any unpaid or delinquint bills, loans or accounts.

I have goten the same call twice.  I have a Skype number they called and left the same message as above.  It is most likely a scam to get you to call them back and they will try to sell you something or get sensitive info from you such as SSN or birth date.  I am just going to ignore it.

This person or company will not stop calling and it's getting very annoying.

I received a call from this number on my cellphone today at 9:09am. My cell is not listed, but it is my previous home number, ported over to our wireless account when we quit using landlines. I suppose they might have it from back then, but I don't know who "they" are.

Called my cell number again today at 8:26am. A recording said, "please hold for an important message" a couple of times. I hung up. I was making breakfast and needed both hands. LOL I called it back and reached a person, told her I was receiving calls from this number. The company is Credit Bureau Collections Services (CBCS). She could not pull my number up in their system. She said it was probably a wrong number entered and she would find it and make sure it was removed. She apologized.

We have received several calls to the former "owner" of our phone number who apparently skipped out on commitments financially.  Whether this call was for that person is unknown.  Two rings and a hangup with no message doesn't answer that question.  This 888 phone number should be revoked for a year, and the "owner" of that phone number should not be allowed to have another phone # since scamming is happening.

I know this same number called my mother-in-law's house phone looking for my husband and she said she had no idea how to reach him, and they said thank you, we will take your number off our list.  I called the number and it has a recording, but no name of the company. it really urks me that collection companys will actually call people you are related to, but they were never given any no permission to call them from.  How do they get by with just calling up relatives when they never was given the number to in the first place? I know they get online and search and thats not right.
