The call and ask to speak with owner - it showed up as "Survey" on caller id - when I asked them to remove us from their calling list, they hung up. Tried to call number back and it just beeps fast.

They are conducting a survey, and not selling anything. Resource Information is their company name. The nature of their survey is energy and commodity trading. I suspect that although this is a survey and not subject to DNC restrictions, that their results are then turned over to another party, such as an electricity provider.
