ALERT! Another number Warning:2025069364
This came from the voice to text from my answering machine service.
Earlier I was targeted by these recording in thick (I  R A** lol) Pakistani/ Indian accents awhile ago. This time it was a digitized voice. I am of South Asian origin, and am really flustered with this crap - its a disgrace whoever is doing this.
I tried reporting this matter to FTC through http://www.irs.gov/uac/Newsroom/IRS-Reiterate ... -Telephone-Scam They seem to be doing jack about it, this scam has been on for many months

"eve(?) this message. I need you or your retained attorney of record to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My name is officer Heather Grey from the Internal Revenue Service and the hotline to my division is 2025069364. I repeat it's 2025069364. Don't disregard this message and do return the call before be take any legal allegation against you. Goodbye and take care."

Got a message this morning, read the posts here, and called in to have some fun with these scammers. Number has already been disconnected and you get an automated system response from magicJack.

It's disappointing, I was looking forward to getting them angry and having a laugh.

Hey guys just an update that I called the IRS to make sure everything was OK and they told me I did not owe them money! This is just to confirm even further that it is a scam !

You can certainly file a complaint and that might take 180 days and more. Here is what they told me:
- Fill out the form 14039 form the IRS website + attach a copy of your DL or any photo identity and send it to a local IRS office. You can also fax it too it's all on the form. This is just to prevent them to obtain further information from your record.

That is to my knowledge a form of Identity theft! Now to make me feel better I am going to keep calling them with different stories and piss them off lol

The thing is some will be naive enough and they probably did receive money from a lot of people already! SO scary!

I returned the call and Daniel answered.  I said I wanted t know the name of his company and he said "Investigative  Bureau of the IRS"  I said OK what's up?  He asked in Mideast accent if that was how I speak to government authority?  I told him it was how I speak to a fraud.  He said ok, I am sending official documents to your house (he did have my correct address but he couldn't pronounce it correctly) And then some not nice people would show up and take me to the court.  s there some way? to screw these guys?

These people called me and left 2 message the first time I called back and they gave me a random number of someone they are looking for and I said this is the wrong number. Then they called again today and had my mom's name so I call pretend to be my mom. I first call and this guy "Daniel Peters" answers and he is so RUDE he's like there was a deficiency in your tax return... so I am like panicking I asked if they sent anything in the mail and he gives me an old address and when I tell him he's like this is not our fault! So I hangout then I call back the SAME GUY picks up with a diff name and he's SUPER nice this time and he read this thing to me and says exactly how much owe. FIrst of all, the IRS would never contact someone directly always by mail and second of all they would not ask how much you owed and then tried to transfer you immediately to make a payment.

I am trying to call the IRS just make sure everything is ok and then I am going to call that number (202-241-1366) and harass the s*** of out them!

My wife just got a call from this number--2022411366.  Said person sounded Chinese and was very rude.  Said she was from the IRS and we needed to call this number and talk to the agent assigned to our case, a "Daniel Peters".  My wife called me and said she was sure it was a scam.  I did NOT call the number back and immediately googled the number and got this info.  Thanks.  I feel very bad for people that replied to these scammers.

I got a message today (my 50 year-old granddaughter took the call as i dont hear well). "The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive.  Internal Revenue Service and the hotline to my division is 2022411366. I repeat it's 2022411366. Don't disregard this message and do return the call before we take any legal allegation against you". When she called them back a man with a thick Indian accent asked her to confirm my name, address & last 4 digits of Social Security #. He then started rambling about an urgent IRS matter & pending law suit being filled against me. She couldn't understand half of what he said. When she asked him to repeat the info, he got biligerent. She asked for his badge #, he hung up. she figured it was a scam so she called back again, and the same man answered, and started badgering her again. She asked to speak to a supervisor. The "supervisor" came on the line. She said she didnt believe the IRS would conduct business this way. The man (another Indian accent) got mean and told her that this is the way the IRS does things, and if she had a problem with it, she should write ger congressman and Barack Obama (he snidely asked if she'd ever heard of Barack Obama!).

I just received this call this morning too with the same warning that it was the IRS and that it was extremely urgent that I call them back or legal action will be taken.  I'm so glad that we have the resources to check out these a-hole scammers.  Now I need to warn my parents and older relatives so they don't take it seriously. Thanks for the information everyone!
