yeah, same call.  $7000, government grant.  He asked me for my visa number to put money into my account... seriously?

Just received a call from this number 202-558-0341 saying I have 7,000. Dollars from the Federal Gov I need not ever have to pay it back plus gave me a Money # FF1019 then told me to the number back and talk to a Cindy ! I just retired from the Gov and i can smell a rat 'Big Time '!!! This has to STOP I'm tired of blocking numbers in my phone!!

got the same call today that originated from 859 472 2043.  got the same spiel about a 7000 grant from guy with difficult to understand ME accent.  he gave options on how to collect money and told to call same cindy wheeler miller, willer or something as I couldnt make it out and it ironically is same number mentioned in previous posts, 202 558 0341

I just received a call, quite strange the guy is talking very fast to me and saying I have a grant of 7000$ and asked me if i wanted it by bank account transfer etc.. or in cash... I said by cash cause I will nevergive my bank account number on the pone like that.. well He said the same I have to call a cindy wheller with a money approval number. The phone number is the same that the one you gave. So I suppose it is a scam too? Where the hell did they get our informations?
They say it is coming from the governmentgrant.com but I feel it doesn't exist. I would like to know more about this.

Scam ....

They called me this morning from and blocked number. A lady with a heavy accent told me that I had been approved for 7000 dollers because I had not filed bankruptcy or been arrested in the last 6 months she gave me a approval number and said I could get the money in cash. Said I had to call a Cindy Wheeler and to call the number 202-558-0341 and give her a number of JJ3356 I called and another woman with a very heavy accent tells me that I could get the money from western union and I would have to pay 260 dollers and I would get my money. She was like dont go into western union until you call me and I will give you all the account numbers for you to call. Then the line goes dead. I read about this in a lot of other articles that it is a scam and others that have done this have been scammed already. I even asked her if this was a scam and she said no this is the federal government and we could get help. This is probably funding terrorism or something do not send them your money. If any one calls you from a 202 number or asks you to call back a 202 number its a scam!!
