Same thing here.  A vmail stating that a person X is under investigation.  I'm not person X obviously.

She may have slipped at the end when she tried to repeat the 202-558-7495 number she easily stated at the beginning.  She instead paused before the last four numbers and finally uttered 5260 like she forgot her line.  So I'm going to also google 202-558-5260

called twice saying this call is for respondent in a civil case with a name of some person that i we dont even no..said a bunch of mumbo jumbo with case #s and talk like alpha (adam)alpha(bravo)saying its not neccesary at this time to contact them back but it would no be a bad idea for me or my attorney to call so that we dont get surprised when police come..(what a joke legal matters and people working a legal case dont put that kinda info on some answering machine that nobody that lives here even heard of BIGGGG SCAMMMMMM..........

I had a message on my phone saying "this is claims processing here in Sioux" and I am named as a respondent in a civil suit case already filed in my county.  I called the number next morning and asked a few times who is calling (what company) and was told Transnational Litigations and did I have a case number.  I hesitated and then he put me on hold for awhile then I hung up.  I called back and got answering machine.  I called back again and a man just said hello so I hung up.  I searched the web and am glad to know this is such a scam.  My mom just passed away and my elderly father is in a nearby convalescent home from a stroke and life is stressful enough without these scumbags making people worry and be fearful of something.  I kept thinking what could I have done and how is it going to affect my life right now.  I am certainly going to report this.  Not sure who that would be but maybe Federal Trade Commission?

Same thing - called both of my numbers and said they were "Stacy George" - said that my number was listed as a contact for someone under a criminal investigation then said it was a civil suit gainst a person named "Robert Reed" and that the sheriff was coming to my house and that I would have to show ID to prove I wasn't Robert (I'm female).  I suspect it's a collection agency.  I don't know any Robert Reed.

this number called all my cell# (have a business and 6 lines) and my a few family and friends.  Said that they had a case in my county and I had to call back to get the case # said they were "Liz Goddard" and a private investigator and they were going to have the county cops come to my house...ha ha but they did leave detail msg on all phones they called which is illegal.  never said what they wanted or anything.  The complaints are all over the net...

these are bogus.  they're trying to get your personal info for ID theft.
