I got the same mark Hamilton guy calling about some government garbage. The accent was so bad I knew it was BS. Hung up as he was talking. Pure waste of time!!

Got a phone call from 1-800-375-5283 (this is a USCIS ph#) and the way the person talking to me I recognized that this is not a phone call from US Govt. dept.
This is a fake call. The person asked me to call back on 202-864-1125. I called; other end person was not american, so I clearly mentioned to him that I know this is a SCAM and I am going to report about these numbers to police as well as FBI. He hung up. Be aware of such type of calls. Please DO NOt get scared and DO NOT provide any type of personal information. If you have any questions regarding legal issues or govt. cases you should walk to the US govt. office. Do not share sensitive info over the phone.

I received a call this am fro 18003755283, claiming that he is an immigration officer Mark Hamilton and there is a case against me because we did not complete alien registration card according to 2013 Immigration act and case will be dismissed if I pay a fee of $1237.49. If I didn't pay case will be reported to FBI and they will come to arrest me within an hour. After listening to all these I told them to send the FBI to arrest me at which point they hung up on me . I called FTC at 1 877 382-4357 to report this incident. This is clearly a telephone scam.

The call came from 18003755283 and he said he will give the phone to my supervisor who has my case and needed info etc. When asked who to call up he gave the number 2028641125.

I have become so paranoid with so many of these calls think I saw one person on the phone outside my home and then another person came in the car and picked him and left after I disconnected the call and he disconnected. And this happened when I just finished some processing for USCIS.

Hope some action is taken against them.

One of my friend received a call as if from Immigration and put through 3 different people including a lady to con into paying money through pay pal cards.

Both the 800-375-5283 and 202-382-4357 were involved in a fraudulent call to my friends earlier today. A man claimed to be with USCIS and needed them to pay a fee to "renew their alien number." They immediately recognized it was a scam and pushed back. The man asserted that they needed to a pay a fine, and then threatened to have police come to their home to arrest them. This is very obviously fraud.

Got 2 calls today from 800-375-5283.
Both from an officer by the name of Steve Sebastian(?). Left messages stating once he was from the FBI and another time from USCIS. Stated in garbled English that an affidavit of identity was needed and to call 202-864-1125. The number was valid, answered by someone stating that he was from USCIS and said he was transferring me to the FBI, which of course never connected. Called the FBI who asked me to report to the FTC (877-382-4357). Sounds like a scam.

I had 4 calls from some one who claimed to be FBI State Department D officer named Bob Robson or Paul Robson and asked me call back on 202 864 1125, Its a non working number, I called FBI HQ here in DC, they confirmed its a non working number and asked me to report to FTC ( 877 382 4357), encourage others who have recieved this scam call  report this to  FTC I am calling them in the morning.

Followup from earlier message:  Just called the FBI headquarters in Washington to verfiy whether this was a scam.  I was told that the FBI does not have "Officers".  I was forward to the the Federal Trade Commission who will take your report for fraudulent calls.  Please do your own research and please report it to protect others.

I just got a similar call from a man saying he was calling from the FBI for my father and there was an arrest warrant for him with the local police.  When I asked him why the police were asked to handle it and not the local FBI office, he didn't have an answer other than to say documents had been sent to our mailbox three times.  I let him know that we had not received anything.  I told him I would need to research it and call back.  I asked for a name and number.  He said his name was "Officer Armin Smith."  The caller ID looks official from the FBI.  Please be aware!
