Well I must have been one of the lucky ones, because they called me and said the same thing, That I had to make a security deposit payment of 190 in order to have the funds released.I really didn't know why either but I called back about a month later and asked if it was still active and if this was a scam or not. So Just last week i called from Western Union and told them to start the process and she did. I made the deposit of 190 and within 20min the person at the counter said that the transaction has been complete then she said would you like some cash, I said yeah but thats too much money in cash. The lady at the counter said that i wasn't going to get all in cash, she said i would get 500 in cash and the rest in check and i recived cash and a check for 6,609 all in the same day. Like I said mabey im one of the luckey ones.

People, People, how could you win a Goverment Grant ?  The Goverment is going broke ??????
Ask your self did I apply for a grant or did I ask anyone to contact me on this matter.  I bet you will  will say NO !!! .  I did .

Well I'm now in the boat with the rest of you .  I just got a call from 206-866-5725 and told that I just WON! a $7,000.00 grant from the Goverment and I was to call back with a code # and ask to speak
to a Janet Morris.  I have researched this WIN !!!! and this is a SCAM! do not fall for it. Please do not take them for GRANT-ED !!! Check out the 5 things I always use when I get a call that is to good to be true.

File a complaint: Call toll-free, 1-877-FTC-HELP or (1-877-382-4357) You might want to watch a video, "How to File a Complaint" at ftc.gov/video and learn more. The FTC enters consumer complaints into the "Consumer Sentinel Network" a secure online database and investigative tool used by hunders of civil and criminal law enforcement agencies in the US and abroad.

DO NOT GIVE OUT THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION TO ANYONE !

1. Don't give out your bank account infomation - Scammers pressure people to divulge bank
account information and they will STEAL your money!

2. Don't pay any money for a "FREE" goverment grant . Check out at www.grants.gov.

3. Look alikes aren't the real thing. Caller may say that they are from the "FEDERAL GRANTS
ADMINISTRATION" hang up fast !!!!  because there is no such goverment agency. Check your
phone book blue pages in your area to see if I'm right.

4. Phone numbers can deceive. - Some con will use Internet technology to disguise their area codes
show they are calling from Washington DC they are not they can call from anywhere in the world
and have this to show on the caller ID

5. Take control of the calls you receive. Reduce the number of telemarketing calls place your phone
number  on the "National Do No Call Registery" go to www.donotcall.gov. or call 1-888-382-1222
it is up to you on what you do call or go on line.

Hope some of this information will make you and ME a lot smarter when dealing with these money suckers !!! I don't know about you but I'm so feed up with all the SCAMS .  Let's all come together and file a complaint on any call that you get that is to good to be true.

I was told to call this number in regards to a gov't grant I won... I called several times before I got through. Finally a woman picked up claiming to be Janet Morris and said that I had to make a security deposit payment of 190 in order to have the funds released. I did not do it because I don't know why I have to pay 190 to receive 190 back along with this 7000 dollars; it makes no sense.

Same thing has happened to me. They offered me a $7,000 grant and stated that I can receive it at any Western Union after I make an initial fee payment of $190 that I will get back. It's definitely a scam.
