I received a call from the same number 206-965-8379 stating his name was Officer Richard Hamilton from the Financial Crimes & Investigation Dept. The individual sounded Middle Eastern and his english was very bad sound like he was reading from a script. I would not volunteer or give them any information. My advice to use is that the call is coming from Seattle, WA contact the local authorities there and  provide them with the telephone and person's name ask them if they know of a Law enforcement agency there and it seems like there are people impersonating themselves as law enforcement officers trying to get you to send them money and your ID. I'm not sure if they are a debt collector or a scammer but if they are a debt collecter you do have right to ask them to send you something in writing explaining who the creditor is what the amount you owe.

How do you do the reverse call search? I have been being harassed by them for several weeks now and they have been threatening me as well. I am trying to figure out how to get it to stop.

There is a woman at my work that keeps getting harassed by this number as well. He tell's her that he's an officer. He's threatened her with calling her work and getting her fired. He's threatened her with getting arrested. What can any of us do to put an end to the harassment and scamming? If you get a call from these guys, please contact your local law enforcement. You should also do a 'reverse phone number' search and call the local law enforcement from wherever they are calling from. I assume that's all we can do.

I called the police and they were no help. the officers were nice but they said I had talk to fraud dept bc they are the ones who would have look up number and tell you if a real law enforcement number and i tried calling him few times and always vm. i left a message and never got  a call back. They def are no help. I truely believe its a scam because have been getting these calls since Feb, they stop few weeks and start again but always saying calling from diff places, first law firm now federal crimes investagation but always sound like same person.

Everyone my advice to you is be careful what you write because they maybe reading these messages. I am sure it is some type of scam. Since the call is originated from Seattle, WA contact the local authorities there and give them the name and telephone number and they will be able to tell you if they represent a part of local, or federal law enforcement. Since they are presenting themselves as officers I am sure if they are not part of law enforcement, then criminal charges can be brought against them as impersonating law enforcement officials.

I don't know who they are other than total a***oles. I got a call this morning from one person claiming to be an officer and I could hardly understand his message. Wonder what country they are from? I called back and you can only leave a message for them. I did and the same person I first couldn't understand called me back. I told him I couldn't understand what he was saying so he transferred me to his supervisor who talked the same gibberish way. I told him that I couldn't understand him or the first person and asked if someone I could understand could call me back. He started yelling at me so I hung up on him.
