An automated voice says "Global Tel-Link has an important call for you from", then hangs up mid sentence.  I've gotten several of these at work and now one at home.  From what I have found while trying to research this, it may be coming from a prisoner in Ione, CA.  To the best of my knowledge, I don't know any prisoners or anyone in Ione, CA

I received the same call and message. Except there was a person in the back ground saying" come on baby pick up", I have no clue as to who this person is. I received the call 4 times in a row. The recording does say that the call is coming from Mule Creek State Prison.

Recieved call from this number and when I went to pick it up, they hung up on me. The caller ID simply read "CRK C". I have no clue what that is. I calling back but got a recording that sound garbled and it clicked off. Since I do not recognize this name or number, I figured they may have dialed the wrong number. If it happens again, I wil put a block on it.

I received a number of calls from this number today while unable to take them, my message machine takes automated messages, and called back the complain number left in them ((888)415-0377) and was given only the opportunity to leave my telephone number with the demand not to call back unless my call wasn't returned within 2 hours.  I'm trying to fax to the number that calls me because when I call it I get what sounds like a fax tone, but I've been unable to get a carrier to accept the fax.

ditto to the above comments. My mother who resides in Oregon said a scam was going on up there , trying to get people to answer collect calls from prisoners and stating they were someone you know .. some poor elderly lady got scammed out of a few thousand dollars.

I received a collect call today from a prisoner in Ione, CA named "Gil".  I didn't accept the charges but have had a few of these calls when I wasn't home.  My advice is to hang up.

This is definitely from Mule Creek State Prison in Ione CA. I have a friend who is an inmate there. They changed their ID Call identity tag so I had to come on here and figure it out. The prison contracts an outside phone company to provide the service, and apparently they are using a different service now. My phone is on the fritz but my caller ID shows up on my TV.
