This number has called me everyday between 8 am and 10 am for the last month.  No message is ever left and it is the exact same number. ID says it is Chase.  But, I do not believe it.  I do owe a debt to Chase Bank, but arrangements have already been made by my calling them first, and in writing thru the mail. Another clue is that the number did not begin with an 800.  All the numbers on their letters begin with 8xx.

I do not owe Chase any money so the advice to pay my bills is of no help.  No one answers.  No messages.  No letters from Chase.  Is it guily consciences that say it is Chase rather than having actual knowledge it is?

I have spoken to chase and explained my situation and it didn't help me out. The person I spoke to kept trying to convince me to set up a payment the same day. Even after I told her I can't pay right now, that I get paid monthly and that I only send what I can. That's why I never answer their calls. I know what it's about as well as what they want from me, which is understandable. They will get paid back, but not when they want. So I just keep programming the numbers they call into my phone under "Do Not Answer". If I had the send to voicemail option I would just do that instead. Oh, they also keep calling me, despite the fact that they know I can't afford their minimum payments too. So to sum it up for anyone reading, calling and explaining might help some of you but apparently not everyone. I'm proof of that unfortunately.

Check into this more before you give anyone money, even if you do owe a payment.  Please be skeptical when you find entries in here with conflicting information. Every time I've searched a legit number, every entry has confirmed it was legit. There are too many people here saying this is a possible scam for comfort.  If you know you owe a late payment, pay it through your normal means, not through a call like this.

Got two calls from this number today, first at 7:45am with no message. Second call just around 12pm with a voicemail that was just a guy saying "hello?" a few times and hanging up. Confirmed that my payment to Chase was made on time.

I have a strong feeling this is related to the Target breach. We were issued new Chase debit cards after it happened due to being customers who were possibly compromised.  I'm blocking this number.

FTC Law:  Up to THREE attempts per week to collect a debt - ONE to a work number (which they MUST stop calling if you tell them to).

Now I ask you: How can collections companies call you 8 times a day every day for month and not be charged?

TELL THE FTC THEY ARE CALLING YOU!  If you don't tell them they will never know these a***oles are breaking the law - WILLINGLY!!!

I called Chase this morning to verify that my account was in good standing.  Never been late on anything.  They recommend that I email a complaint to abuse@Chase.com with the phone number.  I'd like to know where they got my cell phone number.

The number in question is indeed CHASE.

It is a different branch of operations than the basic Customer Serivce number on the back of your card. This division of CHASE deals with bad accounts - past due and accounts in their special repayment programs.  If you do not believe this, simply call the Customer Serivce number and ask them if the number in question is a CHASE division.  Intelligent operators will answer yes.

The phone number is indeed CHASE.

If you do not wish to recieve calls from this number:

1) Tell them you are not the person they are looking for and to have the number removed from their call list.  The person on the other end will always say something to the like of "Okay. Done." but that is a lie.  Before you end the call with them tell them you have recorded the call and will file harassment charges against CHASE and post the call to Youtube if you receive another call.  The person on the other end will then get VERY upset and say CHASE does not allow their phone calls to be recorded.  At that point ask to speak to a supervisor or their legal deptartment to ensure your number is removed from the system.

2) Go to your online account and change your contact number to one that does not exist.

3) Pay off your debt.  I know, I hate responses like this and for the most part if people could, they obviously would.  Usually the reason people cannot is the ridiculous 33% interest loan shark rates the company charges for bad accounts.

4) If they continue to call, have the CHASE caller give out your personal information and then say they have the wrong number and the wrong person, that you have repeatedly tried to inform them of this fact, and that now they have committed a crime by divulging someone's personal information and again ask to speak to legal or a supervisor, telling them the phone call is being recorded and will be posted online.  Hilarity ensues.

Your an idiot, there is no reason to call every 2 hours and hang up with no message. First missed payment in over ten years and this is what happens, I simply forgot that bill. I had no idea that was them calling. IF ITS THAT DAMN IMPORTANT LEAVE A MESSAGE. What they are doing is extremely unprofessional.

It's collections for Chase credit cards. If you don't want them to call, pay your bills. It's not an invasion of anything and has nothing to do with your privacy. They're allowed to call your home or cell phone as many times as they need to in order to try to get their money.

This has to be Chase! I haven't called back, or answered yet tho. I missed my CC payment and started receiving calls from this number a few days late. To me, it's obvious that it is Chase.

I've been receiving calls from this number every morning for the past week, but the caller never leaves a voicemail.  I finally called today, and it's Chase calling in a month advance of when the current repayment plan for a credit card is expiring.  They  wanted to know I wish continue enrollment in the repayment plan for another year, and confirmed the amount of the payment along with the date of payment each month.

Not so simple since it's not really chase and your bills aren't overdue. It's a scam. So paying your bills timely had nothing to do with it because it's not a real bank calling.

I get calls ALL day at work from them, Caller ID says 'CHASE' but they ask for anyone and everyone. I have a hard time believing that on the same day, all 15 execs from 6 different companies (all on different billing cycles with several different cpmapnies) ALL missed a payment....so...something seems fishy.

Hi have been getting calls from this number who claims I owe them money for my Chase credit card.  However, my Chase credit card is set up for auto pay.  When I told the guy this he stammered for a minute but then insisted I still owed.  I asked him to email me a statement.  He said "the system" wouldn't allow him but he would snail mail me a statement.  It's been over a week and I still haven't received anything in the mail.

I believe this is a scam and they are scum!
