Got a call from 212-000-6546 The guy (obviously in a call center) said his name was Benny and something was wrong with my computer and he needed to type in an address. Luckily there were no children around when I answered. ;)

robo-call scammers. didn't leave a message. crooks. 000 number? you've got to be kidding.
carigis 2011-06-06 20:42:52 Unknown
Be aware this is a rate adjustment scam to aquire your credit card number. the FTC has taken down several of these. They are using a gateway which comes back as a non working number. I advised the rep they were violating federal robocall regulations as well as federal law regarding impersonating a financial institution and asked her if $8 an hour was worth going to jail for.. she refused to provide company name and phone number and said she recieved the call over "satellite". beware. if you gave them any card info cancel the card immediatly and notify the police.

It's a scam about lowering your credit card interest
MommyWoman 2011-06-06 20:42:52 Unknown
When I answered I was met by a recorded female voice (with an English accent) stating that it was extremely urgent that I press the 9 key right away to speak to someone immediately. A gentleman, actually a male as a gentleman would not have acted as this guy did. He demanded to know who he was talking to and I responded that he called me and I wanted to know who he was. He tried to tell me that I called him because I pressed the key. He then asked if I had any high interest rate credit cards and I replied that I do not.
He then noisily and blatantly hung up on me, I believe he made as much noise as he possibly could to drive home whatever lame point he was trying to make. With all the folks that this company must call and wind up pissing off, the retention rate of these out-callers must be slim to none, with employee morale in the toilet! I would advise ignoring this number if it ever appears on your Caller ID!

Agree with all above - how exactly do they get around the do not call list? We've been on the DNC since it began - they called this AM. Filed complaint with state..

Saw this as a missed call, sounded like they were going to leave a message but I just heard static.

000 number? Really? these scammers aren't too swift. Don't call them back. Don't answer.
peewee 2010-01-15 01:52:16 Unknown
I saw this number on my phones call records during the daytime when I normally am not around. Tonight they just called and I looked it up and got the info found here. Knew it was a spammer. Now I hope that other number does call and there is some j***-off from India so I can tell him personally where to go.

Phone rang, I saw 000 and did not answer. Left message but nothing on it
Rachel 2010-01-13 17:35:19 Unknown
I did answer after several phone calls from this number, when I answered they told me if I would like to speak to a rep press "9" I did so, only to tell them to stop calling... When the gentleman answered the phone he said "I understand that you pressed option "3" to lower your interest rates" I replied "Actually" and they hung up on me... I also tried to call it back because I was livid at that point lol and it isn't a working phone number. After all of that I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. I knew this was a scam considering I do not have any credit cards. I suggest that everyone writes to their BBB for their state and file a complaint on this company (whom ever they are) Hopefully the more complaints they receive the more likely they are to actually do something.

Philadelphia 2009-12-01 15:41:16 Unknown
Recorded message from Rachel saying she was calling with regard to my credit card and that there is no problem with my credit card at this time, but if I wanted to lower my interest rate on my credit card, time was running out. If I was interested I was to hit 9. I hung up. They did not mention the name of the credit card they were calling in reference to.

212-000-3301 just called. Scam about lowering your credit interest rate.
Kristin 2009-11-24 18:27:40 Unknown
Robocall - stating I have a few days to lower my credit card interest rate? If I'm interested press 9? No mention of who they are!
I only have 1 card and they're unwilling to lower anything.
SCAM do not press any keys OR trust any card company calling you!!
Filed report FCC - we're already on the DO NOT CALL list and this player seems to think they can play outside the law.
Dam Shame you can't let your kids answer the phone anymore because of jerks like this!
anon 2009-11-24 16:20:59 Unknown
Got a call from this number just now, didn't answer as it couldn't identify who it is. Immediately googled it while it was ringing, found this and didn't pick up. Junk.
slumbie 2009-11-24 15:54:44 Unknown
I just received a call on my cell from this number and I do not answer non-identified numbers, especially outside my area code.

I received a call ON 11/23/2009 at 11:22 AM. Since I was at work, I didn't anwser. I decided not to return the call. Anyone who calls me and does not identify him/her self will not get a call back from me. I figure they are probably "hustling."

I got a call from 212-000-3301 at work. Listed to the msg and it talked about lower my credit crad rate. So I press #9 and it just rang and rang till it disconnected. Then 10 to 20 minutes laters I get a call from 407-000-4829 it said that this was Rachael and she gave the same msg about lowering credit card rate. Then I got connected to a guy sound like a guy from India. Who asked if I was applying to have my credit card rate lowered. told him I wanted to be remove from their caller list then he hung up.
pwem119 2009-11-21 21:02:16 Unknown
This number just gives you a recording about lowering your interest rates on your credit cards. It instructs you to press 1 sometimes or 9 other times to talk to a representive but does nothing if you press either. I just want to be on their "do not call list" scammers...err
Ray G 2009-11-20 23:22:35 Unknown
Saw as missed call - no message left - called back and et ring a couple times - no answer - might be a non working number to return a call. Read above comments - appreciate the input above.
I was afraid this was one of those numbers you dial and then pay a lot of money per minute for the call - so did not want to let ring until it was answered. Never saw "000" after an area code in a phone number.
Thanks,
Ray
