Someone called looking for "Anne" -- the second caller looking for such a person.  I told them wrong number but said that they were the second person looking for Anne.  The guy said "when did the other people call?"  I said an hour ago.  He said "wow, they are an hour ahead of us".  I asked who it was and he said "refinance.com".  I told him not to call me again.  He said "we can do that."  After that I started to get calls from a 1-866 number that I discovered, via this site, that it is lowermybills.com.  I have stopped answering my phone.  I suspect that perhaps my Do Not Call registry has just expired.  I have now updated it.  But I also worry about more nefarious issues like the fact that we were just recently shopping for a mortgage and that somehow our information has been sold.  Keeping my fingers crossed it is the former.
