Called my father in law house asking for him my mother in law ask him  things he couldn't  tell her  so he told her they owed taxes  and she told then send paper he told her a warrant would be served and law pick him up in hour it been 4 hours . Kevin said he was with dept legal affair

Same as above - received a couple calls while at work on my personal cell phone for my husband.  Called back at lunch and sad to be said they actually had me going for a minute as I do have an agreement with the IRS, but as soon as he said they only way to keep from being arrested immediately was give him money or he will send police.  I told him to send them I am calling the IRS and he hung up.

When I call back this number they stated I have a legal action against my name and I will recieve paperwork in the mail. He(Michael Johnson) will not tell me what for. He then hangs up.

Same as everyone else on this thread...we also received a message from this number from man named 'Michael Johnson' who had a very heavy Indian accent (I wonder what happened to Kevin Peterson?).  He said he was with the Department of Legal Affairs. He said we need to return his call as soon as possible or we would be in 'big, serious trouble' (ya, right!).  He also said 'God bless you' at the end which I also thought would never be said by an actual government employee!

Please do file reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,CFB,FTC & FCC..

These f****rs... kevin peterson and mr. gibson called me today threatening me that i owe their a***s 12,000 dollars. He wanted to wire the money to his account. These are some indian people...hey i am indian too and i know how indians talk...when i said "mr. so-called kevin peterson" your an indian...he got PISSED OFF!! which was funny...he said i am white!!! a man with an heavy accent tryna be white...what a loser!! i told him that his games won't work in United States maybe they work back in India but NOT HERE!!! Then he hung up!! so be careful people...they are thieve tying to steals peoples money.

I had my attorney call them and when he identified himself, the male (definitely India(n)) replied in sing-song, broken bad English that he could not talk to an attorney and when asked why, he hung up. LOL. Jack-A** Ripoff Scamming Alien Punks!

My experience is identical to the ones already posted above.  I might have returned the call if I could understand the message or any identifying information.  The only portion I really understood was that "I am looking for a big legal mess".  With who?  I am going to block this number since I have now found that numerous other people have had the same experience.  If Mr. Gibson is reading this, SEND ME SOMETHING IN WRITING!

I truly hope that these unethical actions are not taking advantage of many others that truly believe they are in trouble...

This clown called today at 10am, no message.  Called again at noon and left a voicemail.  Heavy accent and same Dept of Legal Affairs story.  I tried the 213 # and got a busy signal.  It sounded like a fraud from the start - was ready to take the clown on.  From the other posts here just as glad I didn't waste my time.  I filed a complaint with the FTC website listed above.

Caller ID # for the two calls was different than the 213 area code # to call back on.  Caller ID showed 559-328-2396 from Avenal, California.

Encourage others to c.ontact law enforcement.  (I doubt the FTC will do a thing.)  These guys are crooks and someone vulnerable will be taken advantage of, unfortunately

This guy call my home 3 times too, the funny thing is that he said god bless you at the end of the call, like a lawyer or an official office will say that.

I have received 2 calls at home from this number.  Each time the message went into voicemail so I have the recorded messages from Mark Gibson.  He has a heavy foreign accent making it difficult to understand the entire message and he ends the message with "God Bless You" each time.  I called the number, Mark Gibson answered the phone identifying he was from the Dept. of Legal Affairs at the US Treasury.  I gave him my name, he put me on hold to pull my file, and then transferred me to Kevin Petersen.  Mr. Petersen, who has a similar foreign accent, identified himself as number 11538, informed me I have outstanding taxes from 2008, there is a warrant for my arrest and asked if I received Notice CP503 from the IRS.  I told him I was not aware I owed taxes from 2008 and that I had not received a notice from the IRS.  He said he needed to ask me a few questions and that I needed to be honest with him.  He asked if I did my taxes.  I told him I did not think I should give him that information.  And he said "screw you" and hung up the phone.  I then called my local police department and filed a report.

Got a voicemail from them this morning claiming to be IRS Department of Legal Affairs threatening an "enforcement action" and that I or my attorney should call them back.

I  got that phone call to, he had me going for a minute said that i was going to be arrested so i hung up called him back on a different phone and ask him for his address and he hung up.

I received 4 calls and one left a voice mail, which ended with "may God bless you". I called the number back and he said he was with the legal affairs department for the treasury department, gave me an employee id number- i could here other people talking in the back ground saying the same thing he was saying- i got "transferred " to a supervisor and hung up on. I called back and he proceeded to tell me I owe the IRS 15,000$ and they need a payment. I told him he was crazy and he said "if i come and arrest your a**, you'll believe me then" I then told him - "I doubt you believe in God, but I do and you will burn in hell for trying to take advantage of people" and was hung upon again.

Received 2 phone calls in a row from a man with a bad foreign accent. He left messages stating that a suit had been filed against me and that he was calling from the U.S. Department of Legal Affairs and the U.S. Treasury Department. I did some research and the U.S. Treasury contact information does not have a 213 area code number. I would assume that the Department of Legal Affairs would contact anyone with an issue in writing so there's a paper trail and documentation.

Received a call from this number. He identified himself as kevin peterson from the US treasury department of legal affiars, stating we were going to be sued due to unpaid taxes. Told him I would have my tax attorney call him and he hung up on me

Got this call twice today..he was yelling at my kids we could not understand what he was sayi ng. He said hes from irs legal affairs and theres a lawsuit against me regarding taxes. I called our local sheriff he said its a scam...they keep telling me to talk to Mr peterson the supervisor...

This person, 'Mr. Gibson', answered when I called the listed number, said he was with the Department of Legal Affairs with the US TReasury.  When I refused to tell him what number I was calling from and would not give him any additional information without knowing what he was calling about, he just said that he would be sending the sheriff out to arrest me.  Right.  and Good luck.  I'll take my chances.

This person with the 213 289 0373 has called my home 3 times, once on a Saturday stating he is with the department of justice and I may want to have my attorney present when I call him back. You can not understand what they are saying because it is a person with broken English (Indian ) speaking. When I call the number back it is a busy signal after a few seconds.
