Actually Mr. Dobson, I worked for Vector before and you do ask people for money, to pay for their sample knife set on the first day of training. I got a call today from this location saying I was recommended for a scholarship. Looked up the number and came across this. You should probably work on the honesty of your company's recruiting techniques. Vector isn't a scam but it's a sales place FOR SURE. The money is really good at first but as soon as you run out of people you know to try to sell to, your screwed. If you're into sales however, and have the time to devote it all to selling cutco, go for it.

This is not a scam. Everything is clearly explained in a group interview at the office to anyone who is interested in learning all of the job details. We do not take or ask for any money, ever. I will be the first to admit that the job is not for everyone, but the opportunity to check it out, I don't see any harm there. It's just an interview. You are free to make your own decision.

I receives a call from Sharron (I think that was the name, I could hardy understand her), about how my friend offered me for a job. They said my friends name and everything. The thing that made me question this was that I haven't talked to this friend in months, and he's only had one job, which sounded nothing like the company this woman named. He's not my Facebook friend and we aren't connected on any website or in any way other than the fact that we text occasionally. These people invade privacy and find out information about people in ways that must be illegal. Don't answer to them. Don't call back. Just ignore them.

If it is Vector, their recruiting techniques might be a little vague but the experience and job opportunity is the real deal. You can work on your own schedule and make a great income. What you put in is what you get out. I've made 20-25k in a summer working for their company when i was a student.

I got a call from her as well! I scheduled an interview, went in, got hired and started that week! Job sounded great!! This was almost 2 months ago! I am already at my 3rd promotion, have made AMAZING $$ and gained some AMAZING resume experience! If your on the fence about going or not going-GO! Its just an interview!

They called me saying a someone recommended me to a manager and I played along seeing if they would give me anymore information. I received an email from a totally different company name, still trying to get me to go to an interview I will no longer be attending, thanks to this website.

I got the same phone call today talking about a job at Texoma (I believe that's what she said.) She said she got the my name from a friend that knew me. I did know that friend but we hadn't spoken in three years. I called my friend and she said she never worked there. I knew it was a scam after I came across this website.

I just got a call a few minutes ago from a woman from "Texoma". She said I had applied for a position a while back. I told her that I didn't remember applying for a position and that I had no idea what "Texoma" was. She was completely okay with that and went on to tell me about the job but I honestly don't even know what she said. She mentioned $15/hour, flexible hours for students, and great scholarships. She wanted me to come in for an interview but I said I'd have to think about it, so she gave me this call back number. I immediately googled the number and found this page. This is obviously a scam.

that is sooo true!! I received a few calls and with vmails about a job offer. I had no recollection of the company or ever applying there. crazy! as I read earlier, I do agree that facebook is a way they probably receive information. Scams!! she talked so fast and even lied I think about what school she went to. she didn't really explain what the job position was about. She was such a flatterer. I'm glad I looked it up and read previous comments about it because I am not giving them a time of my day and canceling the interview. Thanks everyone!

I got a phone call form a girl named Miranda from Texoma, talking to where it was hard to hear her, saying I applied to work there 2 months ago, guaranteed 15 and hour and she gave me a number to call that lead straight to a 10 didgit mailbox, with no idea what number to put in. Tried calling back, with no answer, only answering machine.

I received a voicemail from a lady who said she was calling from "texoma" about a job for 16/hr and that they had my file for 8 months?  I am 16yrs old and don't have a clue how or why she has my name and number..

I replied to a craigslist ad, that said admin assistant, and was listed paying $16/hr. Karen from TEXOMA answered, and explained SUPER FAST the job, and avoided my questions by being rhitorical. THIS IS A SCAM, DO NOT ANSWER THIS PHONE NUMBER. DO NOT GO TO AN INTERVIEW. This woman has  been falsely advertising jobs. She will also say that they are very flexible and have SCHOLARSHIPS for your school and will offer college credits. She also said that there was an office near my zip code.

got a voicemail from a lady from "texoma" saying my record was on file dont know who they are said pay was $16...and this was their "call back" number

The lady called me at 1:23pm on Jan. 26. 2012 offering me a job in the Dallas area. She talked way to fast and I couldnt understand her. But i declined due to me moving to the Austin area. I have to admit I was half asleep. From what I did understand there are more "job locations" in the Austin area.

In this bad economy most of us that are underemployed and over educated are searching every where for a decent job that pays more than $8.00 per hour.  I am a single woman that lives on $700.00 a month income from my current job.  Vampires like this Vector Marketing should be shot as sunset for their deceit and lies.

This Lady called for something i didnt understand. But i thought i heard her say that she heard from somebody that i sang really well and that if i wanted to audition or something. But i didnt clearly understand. i thought that's what i heard. But i would like to know what she really said.

from my understanding, they recieve peoples information off of facebook, and they get the name of your "friend" also from your profile

I'm 15 and she called my boyfriend's phone looking for me and I have never given his number out as mine. Then somehow she got my number and called for the same thing. But she called about a job or something. She said my friend recomended a job for me. I could not hear because I was in the store and someone was having a asthma attack and the ambulance was here. But i was confused so i told her i thought had something wrong so I told her my age and she told me to call her when I turned 16....

that happened to me to. she said my friend provided my name as well. it's bc my friend signed up to sell knives. if he provided 100 names and numbers for which the company could call to offer them a job selling knives he would get 50 bucks on the spot...so thats why. when i got the voicemail i was like what is going on but that is why

I received a voice mail to my unlisted home telephone number from this number on Sunday, August 16, 2009.  She left a message about offering me a job and/or scholarships.  She claimed an associate of mine ("Steven West") who I never heard of provided her my name.  I have not called her back!!!
