Has called my home office line several times. I told him my fiance is a PA state trooper and we're not interested. Tired of it.

It's bucks county jail.

They called three times tonight, asked for my mother (by her proper name, not her nickname) and the woman became indignant when I said she was asleep and not to call late ("its not late"). This is why I don't normally answer unknown caller calls.

Because I was expecting a call from this area I answered a call even though Caller ID said name 'Not Available' .. broke my own rule of not answering calls that have no ID. Lady said 'Bucks County Police Chiefs Association' and thanked me for my support in the past (that's the first 'hook' to try and get you). She then said this year our support levels start at 15 or 20 dollars. Told her to go away. It's sad .. I wonder how many Sr citizens get scammed by stuff like this.

They finally changed the caller ID and it just says "Warrington PA" now. They call and call and call and call and call...I don't mind though, goes right to my fax if I don't pick up, enjoy hearing that every time. They are soliciting donations for the so-called Bucks County Police Assoc., will never get in their hands. Also, when I told them I couldn't give them $10 and only $5, he actually said the minimum they could take is $10....so I said you'd rather have zero than $5? Then he hung up on me.

Just remember....there is no such thing as Bucks County Police.

This is a scam.  There is no "Bucks County Police Dept" and police DO NOT solicit for funds over the telephone.

Just called me today (3 times in 5 minutes) called back, no answer. If this is some police association they sure operate like scam artists. As suggested by others give to you local police department.

I just received the third call this year from these clowns. They claim to call only once a year, but when I questioned what they do with the money they collect, he hung up on me. Obviously this is a money making scam. Remember, we pay taxes that pay for our police services. This is an out and out rip off scam.

glad to hear I am not the only one who got called...I tried calling back too, but no answer. We are having issues with our kids and thought the worst! I am going to contact Bucks County Police and find out what the scoop is..I will keep you posted.

I was just called at 8:27pm 3/27/13 by Bucks County Police association 215-343-1297.  They were asking for money for local police and as I began to explain why I could not, I was hung up on...  I called the number back and the Titas ave location with no answer.

Woman called and acted exasparated that I said we did not accept phone solicitations. I told her to send me the info and I'd look it over, wanted a $10 commitment from me to do so. I said "No", and that is when she got quite curt and condescending with me and i hung up.

Got a call from a woman last night fundraising for this group. I said we do not accept phone solicitations. She said they would mail me an envelope to send a donation but wanted a $10 commitment to cover mailing costs. When I said I was not going to commit to anything without reading the materials (catch- 22)' she got very huffy and short with me.......making it seem like I was being the unreasonable one for having never heard of her charity and not wanting to participate in their fundraiser.

Bucks County Police Chiefs Association. From what I can tell, most of the funds that are collected go to overhead, including the contract for the solicitation process. Also, I am not a tax expert, but I have told that the legal structure of this and other similar groups makes donations ineligible to be deducted legally on your tax return. [Something to do with the fact that it is a fraternal organization, I think; like many other police and fire organizations.]

Which comes back to the question: why is this group raising funds to do good in such an inefficient way? Ironic that it is police chiefs....

I've received 4 calls from 215-343-1271 this year and 2 last year that I am aware of.  Today I answer phone and guy said he was with Bucks County Police and wanted to know if I'd support them.  I asked him for an address so I could mail them a donation, he tried give me PO Box but I said I needed a physical address so I know where my $ is going.  After a pause he said they didn't have an address to give?  I asked him to just tell me the address from where he is calling from - he couldn't give me this and tried change topic.  I then asked him for a phone number to their organization, this way I can call if have questions, etc.  The guy said he didn't know their number?  I told him to go ask someone which he didn't (or wouldn't) do.  I said "you don't know the address you are calling me from and you don't have a phone number for the your organization, yet I'm suppose to feel comfortable donating money to them?"  He had no reply, paused for a moment and then hung up.  

I try to give people the benefit of doubt but this guy couldn't answer the simplest of questions. I can only assume that these folks are either a scam, or some type of organization that's legally required to show they actively seek donations in order to keep their favorable 501 tax status.

Either way - stay far away from this characters.

I got a call from this number two days in a row and its still showing bucks county police. Scared the heck outta me. But the same happened for me but when i called back it gave a ring as if it were a fax machine calling my house.

Received a call from this outfit this evening.  I decided not to answer and there was no message.  If they are really located at 1760 South Easton Road, then I wonder if I can pay them a visit to see what they do there, as a bus goes right by there as well as my bike.

I just got a call from this outfit.  I recognized the 343 exchange as being from Warrington/Warminster but I didn't answer and there was no message, arousing my suspicion that it was a scam.  I may have given money to this outfit in the past but after reading the posts, I won't again.

went to my state rep they get money for local police but keep about 60% of it .I have a frend who is a local officer he said dont give to them . if you want to give to your local dept. give right to them they will then get 100% of it. when they call me i tell them to send me info still waiting!!!!

Who do we contact to complain about these calls? I have received a call from the "National Police Officers Association," as well as the "Bucks County Sheriffs Association." "Kathleen" said she was calling Warrington residents, but I told her I didn't reside there. She then said the money was for all of the police stations in Bucks County. It's quite annoying and I'm not sending money.

thatnumber called my house today at 3:47 pm. I was out shopping and saw it on my caller id. I tried to call it back thinking something was wrong with a family member and got nothing but ringing no answering machine. Now I know it was a phony. but at time u see the mess- u think something bad happened-this man should be arrested or who ever it may be.

They just called me tonight.  They call me about 4 times a year.  He asured me the funds go only to the local police force where I live, but he couldn't even tell me where I lived! I told him we have no local police force in this area and are serviced by the State Police.  Then he said the funds are divided evenly amongst all the Bucks County police forces.  I said "why would I want to fund a police force 50 miles away and hung up on him!
