I got phone call from this number, no message left.  I did not pick up the phone.  Once I got the call, it shows up on the screen, i googled it right away and saw these posts.  That's how i decide not answering this call.

It's an automated car warranty sales call.  Been getting it for months.

Just received a call from 215-579-8144. Didn't answer because I didn't recognize the #. Figured it was more spam, and it looks like that's the case. I have a TracFone and give the number to family members only. How are they getting this number? Grrr!

Sooner or later cell phones will be worthless like email.  At least people will not talk on the damn phone while driving.  I got called by that number.  It does not mean it is actually the number calling you.  It's just a fake ID.  Anybody can do that.  The US House of Reps has a bill stuck in committees that would make it a felony if your caller ID is different from the number you call.

At first I thought this was just a wrong number as the top Google result was the girl in PA. That seemed almost too easy, and the second link was this one. I haven't given my cell phone number to anyone except American Express and Delta, re: airline reservations. I think though that I entered in a Facebook IQ quiz that some of my friends had taken. They are more tech savy than I am, and I didn't think much of it until I came to the part where it was time to click "agree" and that click was a subscription for ring tones. I backed out at that point, but it may have been too late. I just can't really remember whether or not I filled in the blanks with my cell phone number.

I have been getting this call for the past couple of weeks on my work cell number and I just got this phone as a work number only.

I thought that I would allow the call to continue and see where it went.  The call never really goes anywhere as all agents are busy.

The crack pot thinker in me says: this is the cell phone companies way of using peoples cell minutes.

Got the call just before 5PM on May 11th.  This was another of the robo-callers for Auto Warranties.  I just hung up after I heard the intro.

I received a call from thsi number less than 2 hours ago.  It is regsitered to a woman named Lori Tater-Ewen but there is a blocking device on the phone so when you try and call it back you get a message saying your call can not be completed or the number is disconnected. This is NOT a message from the phone company saying that the phone has been discconected. It is listed as 21 Taylors Way in Holland, Pennsylvania but this is not an actual residence.

Got the call today, didn't answer, but a message was left for auto Warranty.  I don't have any vehicles under warranty!  What a scam!!

Yes, got a call from this number.  I also recently heard on a talk radio show about phone spam, DON'T press whatever number they tell you to to be deleted from the call list.  In some cases, this will activate a 'permission' type response allowing your information to be release or other such nonsense.  Just hang up on the call and report it.

Another phsihing call, automated, no company name provided, multiple calls from same autobot caller but always a different caller ID number that is fake or not related to the actual company. Autobot call in violation of do not call law, believed to be part of auto warranty scam in recent news.

I received the call this week of May 11 th 2009 - no one spoke when I answered.

I've been getting several calls each week from someone, each time it's a different name and number, but the exact same recording, same male voice. Something about important info about my home mortgage and the gov't stimulus plan. I hang up as soon as I hear the voice. I'm sure it's a scam and these calls are definitely illegal.
