He is still sending out the messages. I just got one about 10min ago saying : I was a long lost relative of Alfred Foscolos yadayadayada. I checked it out as I do have a millionaire uncle that my father disowned and was sole beneficiary but the name wasn't even close.

I also got these messages he is now going by chrisdickson3030@gmail.com. he told me that he wanted my full loyalty about this and to not tell anyone not even government or other authorities. He also said that his wife needs a kidney transplant and he would be using his part of the money to save her life, also saying that after we completed everything it would take only 11 days for the money to be in my account and that he would be coming to the united states to get his 40% of the money. This guy is out of his damn mind.

How's it possible that before enrolling for some kind of services on the ship they haven't registered their family members in the documents ! Utter b***s*** ..

ha-ha that crap happened to me luckily I was smart enough not to fall for this crap and came across this web page thank you Google. would have been crazy if it was true but of cores nothing is for free and I don't have any relatives that live in Togo. this is the message on facebook I received.

I got the same scam. He sent me a long message on linked-in I did not bother to get back. I just read it and it amazes me how people can make a living out of using dead relatives and tricking people to their bull. I searched the number on he gave and this popped up. i was just wondering what country these people are scamming from.

Yes, it's a scam, one of the oldest scams perpetrated by Nigerians, and it pre-dated the internet.

Are you a Templeman too? My young son received the exact same email, last month. The only Alfred Templeman, I can find died in 1929, and didn't live in the U.S., so I'm afraid it's a hoax. Too bad, huh? lol

The new name being used by his person or persons is John Houpe, Esq.  He claims he is with INOUA Law Firm.  He is posting his messages on LinkedIn now instead of making a call to you.  He asks for you to give him a call.  That way you are soaking up the charges.  The phone number he is using is +228 99583431 and the e-mail address is johnhoupe_lawyers@ciudad.com.ar.  This is most definitely a scam.  BEWARE!
