I keep getting calls from these people after asking them nicely to please quit calling. I have sat and wasted there time by listining to there sales pitch and now they just call and hang up on me once they find out who they are talking to. So I have invested in a BIG A** AIR HORN. Two can play this game!!

Yes, this happened to me yesterday. I had a scammer or just plain rude sales rep. call me and say that GE Security had bought out ADT alarm company. They informed me that they needed my consent to change over my alarm system to theirs. They asked if I was ....and if my address was ...which they already knew somehow and if my alarm system was land line based. I told them I wouldn't give out this information to someone who's calling me. I don't know who you are so why would I do that. He said we'll have a technician out by 12 will that work? I said no, I don't know you and would never agree to this without someone kind of documentation stating this did indeed happen, then my husband and I need to discuss it and agree together. He got aggressive and said how about 4 will you be home then? I said NO. Then he said " If you need to get a dress at the department store do you have to get your husbands permission for that?"  I said, Oh now your going to bully me into giving you information, that's really good sales tactics, what's your name?  Big Surprise He Hung Up!  I called ADT immediately they said this was a lie then called Police and filed a report.  I have the phone number which is 949-287-4347. It appears to be in Irvine CA. I also filed a complaint with FTC and will be doing another complaint with other agencies today.

I found through the Sec'y State of NC a possible link. ISI Alarms and Monitronics.  IF they are the company then shame on them, if not then they should be made aware of their involvement.  Jayson Waller and Elizabeth Waller are the Pres. and VP.   I call their number 800-650-2712 and their number at 919 Main Street Mooresville, NC.  800 is always busy.  Main Street hangs up.  I contacted the Chamber of Commerce for some assistance.

This is not a home security system sales company or a bill collector!! They are just trying to see if your phone number is current and if you own a home. It's just a database they can sell. These aren't real numbers, it's just a trick so the do not call list doesn't work. The numbers can be blocked, however. I have the following as the same scam blocked: 503-902-8279, 360-529-6175, 855-200-1228, 425-658-8839. It's the only way to stop them. Don't answer; even that is information they can sell! That a female answered at 2:45pm on a Tuesday, believe it or not, is valuable.

Unknown caller. Justs keeps calling and hanging up. Does not connect when the number is called back to ask them to stop bothering me.

Repeated, unwanted calls from 314.932.8081 and 229.389.4173 since switching to Uverse.  Had my same number for years as a POTS line with no issues.

I keep getting calls from this number.  I updated the Do Not Call Registry, not that I expect it to do any good.  I may ask the phone company to block it as a harrassing call.

Someone from this number has called my house 4 times today and I answered it a few minutes ago and no one was there and eventually it hung up.

What good is the Do Not Call List if these predators are still  able to get through and harass the people?  I know that if they can use a number like the one above that shows up on caller ID but when you tell them not to call anymore, it does no good.  When I receive these calls and have a little time on my hands, I dog those Rascals out real good and screw up their day like they have done to me so many times.

called twice today 9:44 a.m. and noon--no message Caller ID says Americus GA

Keep getting calls from 229-389-4173. A cell number from my home town, first time guy asked from some name which I stated he does not live here. He hung up. Have tried calling back sixteen times over the past four days hanging up each time when I answer.

Caller ID indicates "Americus,GA". Same M.O. as all those "gluteus maximus orifice" companies/people. Really, do these obnoxious, irritating, and often dubiously legal tactics work? I doubt it. It certainly will not work for me, even if I did owe it. Don;t they get it? If we could pay, we would have. Health, I mean major health, problems along with job loss caused our $$ problems. The state of the economy no one I know foresaw. What are we doing about our situation? Big changes: We're eating beans & rice, some veggies, no meat; no entertainment; no necessary dental work; no health insurance; no healthcare,  no recreation; no updates/upgrades on anything; ;no new anything, nothing extra beyond what is absolutely necessary to survive is what our lives are like. Yes, it is "survival mode". So these unempathetic, unsympathetic, unfeeling humanoids are wasting theirs and my time and energy with these tactics. I mean what else are we supposed to do? If we were younger with good health there  might be hope. We're not So this is the only thing we can do. You people who say "you should have thought about that before you spent/bought", are totally clueless as to how this situation came about and I doubt it very much they could do any better under similar conditions. We have never been so strapped w/o hope of improvement. So it is what it is.

Got a call at 7:20 PM ET today tMar 5,2012. no answer when I answered. when you call back the line is busy.

We received a threatening call from a sociopath yesterday from this number claiming to be calling from GE HS. SCAM.

Received call short time ago. Had long pause before a voice came on the line which is a giveaway that you are being auto dialed. Man's voice asked for me by name, lots of conversation noise in background, another giveaway, he hung up after I asked if it was a ROBO call. Have received numerous calls from this number over the past few months.

JUST CALLED MY HOUSE AND DID NOT ANSWER SINCE NO NAME SHOWED WITH NUMBR ON CALLER ID. dON'T ANSWER CALLS WHERE BOTH NAME AND NUMBER DO NOT SHOW. DID NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE.

This is the third call today, each from a different dummy phone number (Dayton, OH, Chicago, IL and now Albany, GA) hyping home security systems.  The callers must all be village idiots because they all use the same hype, same format and apparently the same dialers and phone lists.  Somewhere in Nigeria, there's a bunch of scammers making money off these fools by selling them lists and equipment.  Boy, what a bunch of dummies.

For the third time I have just told the people claiming to be from GE Home Security to take me off their list.  This time I was overly stern telling her that the last 2 people also said we would be removed.  She essentially said she had a "do not call" button right there and had clicked it.

I don't believe a word of it.

I got a call from this number just now. Claimed to be from General Electric "Motors". When I told him there was no General Electric Motors he said he misspoke and said he was from General Electric Home Security. He was asking what type of home security system I had. I refused to answer and continued to press him for information about who he was. He told me he was Billy Madison. When I told him Billy Madison was an Adam Sandler character from a movie he asked me again about my home security system. I told him it was a .45. He asked what would happen if someone broke in when I wasnt home and confronted me with my .45. I told him I had one on my hip as well. He asked me what would happen if they fired first and I told him that wouldnt happen. Basically, this is some type of scam. I called General Electric Home Security and they told me they wouldnt have made this call. Have fun with them when they call. But DO NOT give out personal information. I just spoke with a police officer friend of mine and he told me that people like this are fishing for personal information. Do not give it up!!!!

Got a call from this number two days ago, didn't try to call back told the guy on the phone that we are suppose to be on a no call list and don't call back,  Was trying to sell home security systems to use.

I was called at about 2pm on 1/27/2012 from the number 229-389-4173.  There was a lot of background noise, probably a crowded call center.  A man said he was calling from GE Home Security and did I own my own home.  I asked where he got my number, and he asked again if I owned my own home.  I said he had the wrong number, and he said, well do you own your own home.  I then asked what his name was, and he hung up on me.  How rude!  I am on the no call list, and tried calling the number back, but it does not connect as others have said.  If they call back, I'm going to have some fun with them. :)

Got a call from a man claiming to represent General Electric Home Security. He asked to speak with my husband and called him by his name. We are supposed to be on the no call list.

Got a call at 8:05 PM ET today the Jan 26th. Hung up before we answered.

She says she represents General Electric Home Security.  When I say I am on the National Do Not Call list she hangs up.  Lots of boiler room noise in the background.  My caller ID shows she called 3 times today before I answered.  I am in the same area code.  She called me by name

I am recieving the same calls. When I answer they hang up..When you call back busy signal.

Tried talking to my answering machine; hung up when it wouldn't talk back.  Lots of call center noise in the background but have no idea who/why.
