unemployment is money an individual worked for, it's not "taxpayer's money" that gets "sucked up" by just anybody.

They called my husband for an interview with Mr. Bolden.something wasn't right because he's a hi-lo driver. So I called and made up a fake name and the lady said she got my resume off career builder. I never put my resume on career builder. The phone number they called us from is (248) 270-9593.

I received a phone from a women can can't remember her name but it was for the same company. She set up an interview with me for tomorrow at 10:30am. I'm so glad that I decided to look up the company, this saved me time and gas money. I currently have a job and was going to go in late to make this interview. So glad I didn't waste a half days of pay on a scam. Thank you guys so much for your post, you saved me from wasting gas money and possibly loosing my current job.
Lisa 2013-08-13 20:04:42 Unknown
Thanks for all the remarks. I was suppose to interview with this company wed morning. Thanks for saving me the gas. The number is 248-270-9591. The person I talked too was Melissa. What a scam.
Nota Sucker 2013-08-05 20:36:11 Unknown
I just call that number back and it belongs to "Great Floor". The owner says he's been deluged with calls about this same company, so we Google searched it together on the phone and now he's going to get to the bottom of it.
Nota Sucker 2013-08-05 20:29:37 Unknown
I called the phone number back, and as listed on Google, and it doesn't even belong to an American Income anything company. What the heck?!?!?
quinroc 2013-05-15 10:37:21 Unknown
Clearly by Vol C's grammar and profanity use, she'll be the one with the great job ordering items with cheese from McDonald's.
Brad 2013-02-11 22:23:19 Unknown
I just recived a phone call from Mellissa trying to get me to go to 901 Tower Dr. Suit 100, in Troy. She wanted me to meet a Mr. Paul Rumbuc. She talked fast didn't entail much about the company, Somthing about supplemental Benefits to UAW, Teamsters Union and so on. I think its fair to say the same people just using different names. I was scammed years ago as a kid, these people called me about a job for an air filtration company when I got there it was a guy trying to get me to sell VACUUMS! I was like 20 years old I had spent my last $20.00 to go to that interview. It isn't right and SHAME ON YOU PEOPLE! Times are bad enough around here we don't need people like this wasting our time. If you guys wouldn't have posted all this I would have went and took a day off of my SIDE JOB! I have children now I cant afford to take off anytime for B.S. like this!

kelly 2012-11-16 14:12:47 Unknown
Did you really do your reading?? I did and almost everyone said that company doesn't fit what their resume said. So before you start talking over the internet do your correct reading. Guess we know who you really work for. I got this call as well and like everyone else this is not even close to what I am looking for. I a nurse!!! Not going. Never had a company call me and couldn't tell me about their own company they work for.

So i got a call. they set me up with an interview for Tuesday. they asked questions and i did the same.she side its salary and commission. its not direct sales or cold calling people are contacting you. know the sales game that really doesn't sound bad. So Im going to the interview and if it turns out to be the opposite of what i was told then i won't do it. but if it sound on the up and up then I'll do it.
Im reading up on this message board and Im saying "well damn none of you asked this person about the job? None of you even gave it a shot?" If someone here said they went, saw what it was then said it was s****y, i would better understand. If you honestly fessed up and said that sales was not for you. I would understand. but all i see is people mad at the fact they got a phone call that they did not expect. They are not bill collectors or creditors hunting you down. they're giving away jobs. how can you not have it in your mind to look into it through the company and see what they are about versus getting your info from LAZY A** INTERNET TROLLS. Motha Fuckas got degrees from GOOGLE UNIVERSITY now they know everything. wake yo a** up.
maybe i didn't read EVERY COMMENT on this board. but I read a full page and that was enough to say "how can you say its false when you don't even know the in depth info? And most importantly you didn't even have the nuts nor the idea to ask." but you came here looking for a savior. I don't work for the company nor do I give a ounce of a F*** about the company. but all Im saying is if anyone read what i just said please get this message "STEP YO LIFE UP". Realize what the internet attracts and don't become one of them. I'LL KEEP YOU POSTED ON WHAT I FIND OUT AT THE INTERVIEW. and if its some b***s*** I'll officially let you know that it is some b***s***. If not I'll see you next time Im at mcdonalds and Im yelling at you MOTHAFUCKA I SAID WITH CHEESE.

Same here....So i guess i don't have an interview tomorrow.
Rohana 2012-06-12 19:11:06 Unknown
Same with me. Tina called demanding I call her back as soon as possible because they are hiring immediately. Glad I looked to see who it was. I was suspicious...don't know why, but it's a good thing to follow one's intuition.

I got this call. Some young girl started grilling me right off the bat. I think most people are cowed by anyone saying they have a potential job for them that they give up info. When I started questioning her, she told me to have a nice day and hung up.
I've gotten many scam calls from posting my res on monster. Some are trying to sell you "additional training" for a "job" or whatever. Just another scam taking advantage of the unemployed. I hope there is a special place in hell for those people.
rai 2012-03-26 14:56:10 Unknown
the 248 area code is a michigan phone number, they are out of troy. i got a call from them today for someone else as well as being cold called myself
unknown 2012-02-14 21:39:27 Unknown
Thank goodness for helpful and informative people such as all above who posted their experience with this phone number. I also got a call today and they wanted me to come in for an interview tomorrow. She also stated the company name quickly and the details and questions pertaining to the job were very vague. Thanks for helping me realize it was a scam. I was told the company name was Rumbac and I would be meeting with Mr. Rumbac. After reading the posts above, I called the phone number back that called me and sure enough it was American Income.

My husband received a call from Candace at this number (248-687-7790), asking him to come in for an interview, based on his resume. He did not get the company name, so we looked it up, and it is American Income Life at Suite 100, 901 Tower Drive.
He has been applying for jobs, but never for anything in insurance or sales of any kind. If they actually looked at his resume, they would realize that he would not be a good match for an insurance sales position.
These calls may not be illegal but they certainly are misleading, if not actually fraudulent.
I consider this "telemarketing," since they seem to collect money from their "recruits" for the "training" before anyone makes any income.

Received a call from a Tina saying she was calling from Rumbuc ( Rumbuk , Runbuck ?) and that they found my resume on Monster. She did ask about my past experience and after that setup an interview with a Mr. Boldon at the 901 Tower Drive, Suite 100 Troy Michigan location.
At that point I asked about the company, seems that they sell Supplemental benefits to union workers. They are hiring for manager and manager trainee positions, I asked about and was told that it was a one-on-one interview. After I hung up, I hit the internet (who doesn't do research on the company they are going to an interview for?) Of course I find this number listed for AIL.
I had already been contacted by the AIL (American Income Life) office located in Livonia once, and ended up turning them down. This could simply be a new tactic, but a horribly dishonest one. Yes I handled some sales functions at my last job, software sales and customer management. Insurance sale? Not happening, in particular considering you have to PAY for your license to sell it. Funny how they don't tell you that early on.

I am so happy that I found this site. I am looking for a job too. A lady named Tina called me and said that she found my resume on careerbuilder.com. I even have an interview in one hour with Mr. Boldon. Now that I know what this is about, I am just going to treat this interview as practice for future interviews. It is very sad to me that any one has access to our information on careerbuilder. Like everyone here, I am just trying to find a job.

Unwanted solicitation call for a job.
Lola 2011-08-30 20:35:40 Unknown
After the second time they should get an idea you are not interested. They should stop calling.
Suspicious 2011-08-30 20:30:14 Unknown
I've found that when people defend so vigorously, it sounds as though they are personally invested in the company in question. Almost as though they were being paid to do so, or currently in their employ...
My take on the company is that they seem shady. I had to ask several very pointed and direct questions to get anything resembling an clear answer, and their website probably spent more money on marketing than on web design. They sell insurance, likely commission based, and they do not want to say that directly over the phone, which seems dishonest.
scamastic 2011-08-09 02:53:05 Unknown
so do you have to be ready and willing to lie on the internet to"work" there? like YOU?
linden 2011-08-09 02:51:32 Unknown
Sounds like many of you probably should not have been getting calls. Just saying 'no thank you' would have been appropriate. AIL is a great respected company. If it is not for you, then fine. It is a right job for many people. But to assume it a scam or a bs business is way off and should not be labeled as such. The employees with the company work hard and make good income.
Shelly 2011-08-08 15:44:01 Unknown
I also received a call from AIL. I didn't answer it cause I had a feeling it was bs also. She left a message about seeing my resume on career builder and felt I would be a good match. Really? My experience is in mainly manufacturing and some retail. I googled the name and number and sure enough, American Life Income. Also google American Life Income scams and check out those comments.

received two calls in two days stating they received my information from Monster. The lady who calls is almost demanding that I call her back as they are "hiring immediately". After investigating the company this is a commission based (non salary) position. No thanks!
