it's a hard-sell heating contractor with questionable business ethics.  

the ontario eco grant is non-existent (expired a couple of years ago).  

it's all just a come-on so they can get to the punchline: "you need a new furnace".  no matter how new or efficient yours is, they're on commission.

and by the way, some also try the same scam door-to-door, demanding to "inspect" your furnace or hot water tank.

do you really think that 800notes.com has some magic way of communicating your wishes to the telemarketers in south asia?  or that they really care what you want?

do everybody a favour and let them go through their whole script before blowing them away.  that cuts down on their ability to fleece more victims.

get a phone that has a blocking feature (like some panasonic cordlesses), and start adding them to the blocked list.

We have already had 4 calls from 289-800-1185 today (April 3rd/14).  I picked up and said that they have already called us and what is it that they want, the woman hung up on me. Very invasive.

Received 10 calls from this number today alone!  Luckily we have caller block on our Panasonic phone but it still rings once and states "Caller Blocked".  Reported to Bell Canada and they offered *60 service - which we are now using!  Enough already!  Calls received in Scarborough, Ontario.

call your local energy company that you have an account  with first to see if they called you and follow their tips.  Otherwise it's probably a scam or  third party energy company trying to sign you on without you realizing their from a separate company (sometimes they may try to say they are affilated with your energy company when they are not)

I had to de-register from the DNCL because we got too many of these calls.  Frankly I think this is a useless service, it seems to invite telemarketers to find us easier.  I'm sick of all of them in general

I have received 15 call today alone from 289-800-1185, when I call that # it is always busy and when I answer no one is there.

Constantly calling my home number. When I called back to see who this is, I get a busy signal. What trash!

This number calls my house 8 to 10 times per day, during every week day.   It has been especially annoying the last week , since my Mom passed away.   If I find this guy, you will read about me in the newspaper.

2-3 calls per day from this number.  Drives me crazy.  And I am on the Do Not Call list for what it's worth.  Have been for years.

that number (888-790-0719) gave me a recording "Ring Central - this number is not in service".  i want to find and 'visit' these people......

how do you know this is coming from eco-energy?  i've received over 30 calls from these a-h in the last week and i've had enough.  i did some research and found that 289-800-1185 was registered to a voip provider but then ported away from them (they advised i call crtc and police) and couldn't tell me more.  i cannot find anything linking it to eco energy or this ouwang person.  if i do, i'll be on their doorstep - personally.......
please let me know how i can verify those associations.

Three days in a row, calling at 15 min intervals. l finally answered and waited and waited until a woman answered on speaker phone and it sounded like she was doing the dishes! she addressed me by name and launched into a spiel about " Eco Energy"
1 stopped her. Told her l would never me her service, was on the DNL list and hung up. 10 minutes later they called again -3 times since. Filed a complaint ON DNL website. l'M going to try and return their calls after 11 tonight. l also plan to answer t leave phone off hook and waste their time Perhaps let my fax answer

Anyone knows how to make a complain against owner of this kind of nuisance?  I registered with Do-Not-Call, and certain I have nothing to do with this person or company.

Multiple calls in a day to both or phone numbers.  Said she wanted to qualify us for Echo rebate, calling from Ontario Echo Energy. asked to ask 5 non-personal questions. I said what number can I call you back at and she gave me 1-844-230-8642. I tried to call both numbers back and just busy signals.

I have received more than a dozen calls in the last week, up to four per day, and I feel like I am being harassed within the confines of my home.  I tried calling the number back to have my number removed from their distribution list and I have consistently received a busy signal.  Enough already!
