UMUC Advising - they followed up immediately after the call with an email to "see how things are going." So thoughtful & caring! We'll see how long it takes them to follow up on the email reply I wrote back.LOL!

I answered, with a terse "yes?" because the caller ID said MD STATE GOV and I couldn't imagine why such was calling me.  When a woman asked to speak to someone by my first name, but my last name severely mispronounced, I said there was no one by that name here.  She thanked me and said goodby.  Then I went through my e-mail and found one from  UMUC University Of Maryland University College thanking me for my interest and soliciting an application for graduate studies.  I cannot imagine how they got both my phone and e-mail.  It was this forum where I found out that this number was associated with UMUC.  Strange!

I am not alumn yet I keep getting calls from them. No one there when I answer. When I call back, it's just voice mail. Does the alumni association cold call for solicitations?

Indeed - University Md -- not sure if they are contacting alumni for donations? (yes, I am one)
