They called and said one of my credit cards may have been compromised then wanted me to enter my credit card number, which I didn't do

That does sound like a scam and someone was faking their number.
Touchstar is a legit company and sells call center software world wide. I have never used them but have had dealings with them.
I work in the call center industry and it is way to easy to have your phone number come up as something else. I just didn't want Touchstar to take the wrap for this one

I got the same type of call, I hung up as soon as I heard something about a credit card.

Just like JB, I got a call that said one of my credit cards had been compromised, and said that I would have to enter 3 pieces of identification information. At that point, I hung up. It was completely automated.

It sounds more like a scam to me.
