I'll be jiggered. For once, it was not a hoax. Radio surveys did arrive in the mail with prepaid envelopes addressed to BBM Canada in Ontario.

Wanting to send out booklets to be filled in to show radio-listening habits. Am curious if booklets will arrive or if it is a hoax.

Received call around noon time. Was a guy on the other line wanting me to answer about 10 survey questions. He had a french accent (from France, not Quebec) but not too sure if it was real or faked.
The survey questions included: Do we have any smokers in the house? Does anyone have asthma in the house? DO WE HAVE ANY PETS? DO WE WORK F/T OR ARE WE RETIRED? Do we own a vacuum cleaner? What kind of vacuum cleaner do we have? How long have we been working? Am I the owner of the home?
He failed to mention a survey company or his name I think. It was a little difficult understanding him at the beginning. Phone manners seemed a bit "atypical" of a survey rep -- perhaps he's a new recruit.
The questions I have bolded above are the ones that concern me (though it may have been un-necessarily so). Why I don't like these questions is that burglars may use questions like these to figure out what kind of household we are in, what kind of obstacles they may cross and what kind of routine do we have so they can easily break into our house. I may be jumping to conclusions but that's the first thing that came into my head.

long distance radio survey caller from Moncton, NB. call presented with a local number even though it originated in Moncton, quite misleading. unsolicited residential phone calls for the purposes of telemarketing, surveys, fund raising, good will groups, bad will groups, fraud, genuine, especially google which seems to be on the rise, people or organizations claiming to have found problems on your computer, nonexistent or otherwise, travel agencies, insurance companies, debt restructuring, banks that want to save you money, banks in general, anonymous callers, those that don't leave a message, businesses making unexpected follow-up calls, there are a few of those, and many others that I know I have recieved over the years but cannot remember ... perhaps the genes that cause this behavious will eventually die out, surely mother nature has allowed for that or ... perhaps these callers can all be sent to a newly discovered, unknown land where they can spend time calling each other ... oh, wait, there are no newly discovered lands anymore, that won't work ... well maybe this can be declared as illegal AND DUE DILIGENCE WILL PREVAIL, YES!

3069550101 ; the caller was apparently from a Terry Eckel, which was from a radio survey. Information was asked for, then they request to send out a survey. I have no idea if this is legit.
