A heavily accented female called and requested some lady who never - in my 4 years of working here - worked in this building. When I told her that the person did not work here, she asked for the IT Manager's name and phone number. I asked her which IT manager she wished to talk to and she said she didn't know which one, just one of them. I put her on hold saying that I would get the information but took down her number from the caller ID and called the network security people, reporting the called. Before we could continue the conversation, she hung up.

Calling for information so that they can sell your phone number, email address and business title to cold calling spammers.

They called and asked for me by name; said they were calling from Whitepapers Limited (?) and wanted to verify some information about my company. Sounded like they were calling from a busy call center. I declined to give them any information.

I work in an IT support role and frequently sign up for free whitepapers, webcasts, etc. I usually give my number only to reputable sites, but I'm sure a few slip through.

Be nice to the individual on the phone even if you are upset with the company. I said, "I don't have the time to do this, but thank you for the call," and hung up. It's not the poor guy's fault if some website sold my info to someone who wants to collect contacts in the IT industry. As far as the guy on the phone is concerned, he just took a job doing phone surveys. It's a legitimate job.

Has called my work number three times in the last two days. Second call asked if I was an IT manager - I said no. Told caller to not call my number again. Another caller (male) called this morning - I warned him if they called me again that I would report them to the Better Business Bureau.

Called multiple times a day at my work number. Finally I answered and person with a strong accent said they were calling from Whitepapers Weekly and need to collect some information from me.  After I questioned what for he said "maybe I'll call you back sometime" and quickly hung up.

2 calls within minutes.   No Message.

02 minute 36 second recording on my work voicemail of an operator, for whom English is a second language, talking to another customer  or just talking to coworkers.  I could not understand what was being said.  Who are these people and can't they be shut down??

Calling multiple times a day... I don't answer

Keeps calling everyday for the last 2 weeks, I blocked the number as soon as my iPhone was updated to iOS 7. Never left a message and I never answered, don't waste your time, block it.

They've called multiple times too asking for the IT group or manager.  I just called them back and tried the Option 9 to be removed from the list as well.  Will reply to this post in a week regarding any follow ups from them...

They called my work line, but I receive too many unwanted calls, so I don't answer unless it's internal or a known business partner, so I let it go to voicemail. They left the CREEPIEST voicemail ever! Not sure if they were trying to say something or what, it was muffled words and weird sounds. It was horrid. The sounds I heard are going to haunt my nightmares.

When you call the number back, there's an option to press 9 to be removed from their list.

I'm going to wait and see if they call back, and if so, I'm going to complain about the inapproriate voicemail, then hang up, call back and press 9 (I hope it works and removes me from the list).

Same here, called me yesterday and today.  They actually call my desk phone at work which rolls to my cell phone, and I ignore it because I don't recognize the number; and they don't leave a message.  I think I'll label the number as "SPAMMER" in my address book.

I have received a call yesterday snd today, but get no more than one ring and they hang up.

Called and left no message.  Bozos.

Calling extensions in our company today.  Very annoying since I cover lines for 14 people and they are just going down the list (the extensions are in number order on my phone).

Called me today. Asked that she wanted to talk to my IT Manager.

I have asked her it it was regarding my future move that we were going to have. She said no. and then i said my manager is on leave and then she says okay and hangs up.

I was in the middle of my conversation with my colleague regarding an issue that we were having and i was not sure what to ask the person on phone and forgot to even ask her for what was she calling me.

We should be able to track down these guys.

Keeps calling, asked them not to call over and over again.

It's someone from the Dr. Phil show. I answered once and that's who it was. I told them I wasn't interested but they keep calling.

This numbe ris calling about every 5 minutes and trying to verify information; however they had my name.  Do not know what they want as they will not tell me until I verify I am who they say I am and wanted to verify employment information (dates and position) again not sure how they got this information BUT I will not verify anything with ANYONE until they tell me what the call is about.

Called 7 times in the last two hours...each time asking for a different person and saying they are from a different company.

Receiving many calls from this number (we keep a log). They ask for some made-up name and when they are told we have no such person, then they want to know who the IT manager is. Not going to happen (dispite them pressing for a name). We will continue to waste their time though.
