I keep getting that automated "expiring auto warranty" messege  on my cell phone.. (During the day, of course, which eats at my minutes)..

I've lost count of how many times I've gotten the "second and final notice" that the warranty on my car (which has no warranty) is about to expire..

Sometimes, this comes from 310-599-5702, sometimes, the caller id is blocked..

I looked at the FCC complaint site, but it doesn't have a catagory for calls recieved on a cell phone.. are cell phones not protected from this kind of abuse ?

I just got the call too, but the called ID was blocked. Just said "UNKNOWN NUMBER". Because I KNOW I don't have a warranty (my car is ten years old) I prompted to speak to a rep to tell them to F**k off and they hung up on me. Nice. Hope someone sues them. An annoyance and waste of time.

I also keep getting calls from these numbers. The first one was from 310-599-5702 it said Compton, CA on the caller ID and when I answered it was a recorded message about my auto warranty information when mine has already expired. I waited and pressed 1 to talk to someone about them calling me several times a day, a woman answered with some kind of greeting about warranty center but was very uneducated in the manner she spoke. I asked her how she got my number and that I wanted them to STOP calling me. Well when I did that she said "OK" very loudly and hung up on me. This is not a bussiness, this is some kind of scam. I continually get calls on my house phone, on my cell phone, and my husbands cell phone. I DO NOT know where they get the numbers from but they call from all kinds of different numbers. How do you get them to STOP. I'm getting very annoyed. I've also seen a number from 609-968-0988. What's the deal?

I keep getting these calls as well.  I once tried to get off the list, and the live person said they would, but sure enough here they are calling again.  So I talk to a person and they call me a "qu***" then hang up on me.

I'd like this to stop.  Oh yeah, this is on my CELL PHONE as well.  Why is there no option on the FCC site for cell phones?

I get calls from this number about once every 10 days.  I've registered on the do not call list, but it takes about 30 days to finalize.  The number is listed as "Digitcom Services", but that is just a phone reseller apparently.  As they are the registered holder of the phone number, I would suggest filing a complaint with the FCC:

The rules regarding telemarketing as stated by the FCC is as follows:
"Company-Specific Do-Not-Call Lists.  Whether or not your home phone number is registered on the national Do-Not-Call list, the FCC requires a person or entity placing voice telephone solicitations to your home to maintain a record of your direct request to that caller not to receive future telephone solicitations from that person or entity. A record of your do-not-call request must be maintained for five years. This request should also stop calls from affiliated entities if you would reasonably expect them to be included, given the identification of the caller and the product being advertised. Unless your home phone number or number(s) is registered on the national Do-Not-Call list, however, you must make a separate do-not-call request to each telemarketer from whom you do not wish to receive calls."

You can file an FCC complaint here: https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do

Regardless, perhaps if the company giving them their wires was repeatedly notified, then they would stop giving them the ability.  Let them know these telemarketing companies are in violations of calling after having asked to be removed.

In addition, I know that Utah allows you to file both consumer services AND civil complaints as according to following code:

    13-26-8.   Penalties.
    (1) (a) Any telephone soliciting business or any person associated with a telephone soliciting business, including solicitors, salespersons, agents, representatives of a solicitor, or independent contractor, who violates this chapter as a first offense is guilty of a class B misdemeanor.
    (b) In the case of a second offense, the person is guilty of a class A misdemeanor.
    (c) In the case of three or more offenses, the person is guilty of a third degree felony.
    (d) In addition to other penalties under this Subsection (1), the division director may issue a cease and desist order and impose an administrative fine of up to $2,500 for each violation of this chapter. All money received through administrative fines imposed under this section shall be deposited in the Consumer Protection Education and Training Fund created by Section 13-2-8.
    (2) Any telephone soliciting business or any person associated with a telephone soliciting business, including solicitors, salespersons, agents, representatives of a solicitor, or independent contractors, who violates any provision of this chapter shall be subject to a civil penalty in a court of competent jurisdiction not exceeding $2,500 for each unlawful transaction.

Go here to file a complaint with the Consumer Services division:
http://consumerprotection.utah.gov/enforcement/consumercomplaintform.html

Then take them to court up to $2500 per attempt
