Has now called 6 times in one hour. My machine picks up, and a woman says, 'This is Ashley from Academic Advisors,' then hangs up. Caller ID says Illinois Call.

Ignore it, it is a scam.

I just called this number back after they called me 6 times between 9 and 11 am this morning. It was a prerecorded message that said "you've reached academic advising, to unsubscribe press 1" I do so, hopefully it works. The amount that they call me is absurd and irritating.

This number has called my cell 6 times on Mothers Day 2014 (A Sunday no less) and never leaves a voice mail.  Just hangs up before I can even hear my phone ringing.  Of course, I probably wouldn't answer it anyway since I don't recognize the number.

I got a call and they were saying that they could help me with choosing a college. I told them I was 57 and didn't think they could help me. I have since received 3 more calls. which I didn't answer within hours of 1st call.

Lady said she was from "Employment Services" and received my application online. Asked to verify information. I did not apply for anything online, so I assume this is a scam.

Stop calling me

Just got several call from this number. I just ignore it because think it was a scam...

This caller will not stop calling but won't leave a message.

Unknown number.  5 calls in a row. Left no message.

Has called all day ,Sunday Feb. 9, 2014.  Have asked them to stop, asked to speak to their supervisor and they hang up.  Want this to stop.

This nr kept calling me on Sunday morning.

They've called me 13 times since 10am this morning.  I haven't answered a single call and they never leave a voicemail.  Thankfully, my smart phone has an "add to reject list" and the call doesn't pop up anymore.  Wish they'd just give up already, I'm never answering their call.

Just got a call from this number scamers

Started getting calls from this number first thing this morning. At first one an hour then every half hour! I finally answered and said wrong number and she hung up. I have a prepaid cell for a reason and this is one! I can change my number quickly when I choose. Don't give your number to anyone. Not even the stores that ask. Don't give anyone personal info at any time. If a company calls me claiming they need it for something I did, then they should already have it. Protect yourself no one else will.

Just got a call didn't answer no vm left.

This autocaller is still working. I received a call January 26th. Didn't answer. When I tried to call back, it would not connect.

Get several calls daily and no msg .

I got a call and they said they were from Academic Advising. What is that? It is a Chicago area code so it is local for me.

Please cease calling me.

Same as above.  Said she was with Academic Advisor and wondered if I'd answer a few questions.  I said no thanks.  She started asking questions anyway.  When I said no to the first question she hung up.  That was at 10am today.  I've received THREE more calls from this number since and it's only 4:15pm.  Four calls in six hours is a bit excessive, even for a scammer.  

Mine was from "Academic Advisors" calling to ask a few questions about schools. I never applied for any education-type things. Chicago, IL

Started receiving calls from this number today but I didn?t answer it because I don?t answer #?s I don?t know. They didn?t leave a message so I Google the number, after reading these posts I?m glad I didn?t answer.

Ditto - called twice a week lately by this number.  No voice mail left.  Likely a telemarketer or scamm

2 Calls from this number today, when I called back it said "academic advising" and told me how to remove my number. initial caller asked for me by name then hungup when I said yes.

Claimed to be an academic advisor and asked for personal info including DOB.  Hung up when I refused to give it out.

I would like all calls from (312) 216-8774 blocked. They have been calling non-stop and I understand it is some kind of cruise scam.

This call came from a scammer in another country using a magic jack device and Caller ID ?Spoofing? technology. Some scammers making unwanted telephone calls are using a new technology called ?caller ID spoofing? to falsify caller ID information. This means that telephone services such as caller ID, *69 (last call return) and *57 (call trace) are no longer reliable. The use of ?spoofed? numbers by fraudsters who hide from the law is spreading due to phone companies? installation of computer equipment that allows Internet-connected computers to cheaply make phone calls to conventional telephones. This technology allows the scammer to make unidentifiable phone calls to a citizen?s home. When a person returns a ?spoofed? call, they find that the number is disconnected, not in service, or is assigned to someone who is very obviously not the scammer.
Most ?spoofed? calls come from criminals trying to steal money or obtain personal information, such as credit card numbers, which the thieves can then use to commit identity theft.

i just got this call today. and asked about the citizenship. i said no. and asked if i enrolled any institution. i thought it was for job interview. i asked her to explain it more, she asked the same question.no explanation.  i said u mean college or company. and she ends the phone...... was that call scam/???

If your calling my cell phone on a Sunday, during football season, I will not answer.
They left no voicemail. Did not call back.
