I believe this call is from "Moody Radio" (Moody Bible Institute) in Chicago.  They contact their listeners this time of year (typically April) for contributions to keep their radio program on the air.  It's one of the BEST radio stationers for believers ever.

This is Moody Bible Institute...or at least an agent telemarketing for MBI. I called after hours and plugged in the info so that if I get that number again, I'll know WHO CALLED ME. :-)

Check out the relationship between Donor Care Center, Inc. and Moody Bible Institute online! One State (CT) says, "According to the fundraising contract filed with the State, MOODY BIBLE INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO will receive a minimum of .05 percent of the gross funds raised from this solicitation. . . ." That's 5 cents for every $100 dollars raised for MBI, up to $99.95 kept by Donor Care Center, Inc.!!! And to them, this justifies the trouble we people on the Federal "Do Not Call" List endure when we get repeated calls from this number??? Let MBI know how this makes you feel!

As in Tricia's case, I've received repeated calls from this number but no Voicemail messages. I called the number tonight and got the same message that Tricia heard--"Donor Care Center" at Moody Bible Institute, no one there to answer, will call me back at the number I was using, etc. etc. I waited a moment, and the voice said if I did not want any further calls from MBI, I could press "1", which I did without hesitation or regret. A female voice claimed this number had been added to their "Do Not Call" list, but it might "take up to 30 days to process"(!) I used to respect MBI, have friends who had good experiences as students there. I thought MBI carried out their mission with some integrity. This experience turns my opinion around completely.

I believe this is a company used by organizations to contact their contributors.  I received the first call from this number over a month ago.  They have called repeatedly, different days of the week, different times of day, and I never answered because I did not recognize the number.  Today, I was so fed up that I called the number back and got a recorded message, stating that I had reached "Donor Care Center," that they were attempting to call me on behalf of a particular organization, and that they would be calling me again later.  (I made a donation to this organization a few years ago.)  Instead of leaving a message of any sort, they seem to think it is better to call me over and over again for more than a month.  I will directly contact the organization, to let them know they are using a service that seems to think it is okay to call me at all hours of the day and never leave a message.  If this is how I am treated for giving money, I will not be making any further contributions.
