Collections Agency can and will leave messages with neighbors to get a hold of people they are trying to collect from. I know it sounds crazy but they admit to it in the movie MAXED OUT

Interesting post from "lite" on May 2. This post shows up in other sites like this, exactly the same wording. Hummm. Makes you wonder. Not upset, pretty matter of fact. Sounds like a warning to others. Flat, clean dollar amounts, doesn't indicate which collector the money was for, etc. Sounds to me like this is one of the collection agents attmepting to get you pay your debts.
If you go to their sites, they brag about how professional they are, how they use the latest technology, are very compliant and so on. In truth, they will try just about anything short of getting arrested or in legal trouble. This entry from "lite" is just another tactic.
Yes, they can and probably will sue if they cannot get satisfaction. They have attornies on retainer and they rubber stamp the whole process with courts that have been set up just for processing these accounts. The object is to get you to agree to do something first, prior to legal action (like a payment plan, though I'm not sure RAB will, and if you do, you have to give them your bank account information....NOT GOOD!)
You thought the credit card companies were blood suckers. These people have made it an art form. If you want more excellent information, go to www.budhibs.com for some valuable stuff. I am not Bud Hibbs, I have worked with him on my own problems. Collection companies as a whole would like to put a contract out on him.
Long term, you have do take some sort of action. I didn't, ignored it, only made the problems worse. Unfortunately, if you are out of work, deep in debt, and in denial, there aren't any programs that step in and take the pressure off of you, this side of bankruptcy and the calls just keep on coming. My neighbors get called, my parents get called, God forbid your phone number shows up on any Chruch registry on-line. Google your name, phone number, address, etc. Get all your contact information closed out, removed, deleted.
Don't ever EVER tell them about your bank accounts. In fact, CLOSE YOUR OLD ACCOUNTS AND OPEN NEW ONES, AND DON'T TELL ANY CREDITOR ABOUT YOUR NEW ACCOUNT, UNLESS YOU WANT IT GARNISHED. Yes, this did happen to me. Actually, one creditor generated what looked like a check from me, cashed it and my bank extended me overdraft credit to cover the check. TURN OFF OVERDRAFT PROTECTION, NEVER TAKE OUT A CREDIT CARD FOR OVERDRAFT PROTECTION. YOU CAN'T CLOSE AN ACCOUNT IF THEY TAKE MORE MONEY OUT OF IT THAN YOU HAD IN IT, YOU HAVE TO PAY IT BACK FIRST TO THE BANK AND THEN YOU CAN CLOSE IT. WHICH LEAVES THE ACCOUNT OPEN TO BE SUCKED ON AGAIN BY THE CREDITOR. (am I pissed? OHHH YEAH!)
Well, my two cents worth, actually, that's a little more than I have but I'm feeling generous. Get some help. Don't co-operate with collectors. (Unless you have lots of money to throw at them).
Best of luck, keep up a good attitude (really important)! Seek help. Last, but not least, there is always Bankruptcy. Call a local BK counselor and see if you qualify. I don't qualify. You may.

I received a call from this number from some guy. he said it was about a capital one credit card. I hung up on him. he called for about 3 more days. and the calls stopped. about 6 days later I got a letter from this attorney saying that capital one was suing me for the credit card bill. the account was only about 1000 dollars. but now I have to pay about 1500 plus the court cost. I did not think that capital one would sue me over 1000 dollars. and i even had to pay for my attorney. I just want to warn you guys so you wont go through what i had to go through

These a**holes have called me 9 times today, and this is AFTER I have told them yesterday that the person who they are looking for is NOT at this number. I emailed them a cease and desist. If I have to spend money to send them a certified letter with return receipt after this, I will sur their sorry a$$es! The woman called me a liar when I took the time to call them back, as they never leave a message, and they will let it ring once or twice and hang up without waiting for an answer. Don't make the mistake I did and call them, as this is why they do the hang up thing. Harrassing a$$holes is all they are, and they are all pieces of S@it too. Just keep calling their 800 number and hang up...just harass them as they do us, and see how they like being bothered! Here is the info on this company:

Hi. I had noticed that some of the other responses to the phone number said that it was a collection agency for a student loan...They did call me and of course, I don't answer phone calls I don't recognize, and no voicemail either. They better hope they had the wrong phone number...I've never even been to college, therefore, no student loan. And just for the record, i do have a career, i just didn't have to attend school for it :) Thanks guys

This company is OUT OF CONTROL! Someone named Tina Myers (certainly not a real name) actually called my NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR trying to get my cell phone number! I am current with everything and will file a grievance action against this company.

Called my wife. They showed up as missed calls - but my wife doesn't miss calls. Left a message for me to call them back at a different number. I tried calling both back. 317-223-2965, has been "disconnected, or is no longer in service" - and the other number (1-800-829-9750)... had a small message, saying - "thank you and good bye". That's it. No company name... no answering machine... nothing.
Thank you and good bye.

I have received threats from these blood suckers. If they could, they would steal your child and sell them for any price. Best Advice: DON'T ANSWER!

Online research shows Ontario Systems is a software provider for collection agencies, and is probably an outsource call center. TG Collections is a Round Rock, TX based student loan collection agency. 317 is an Indianapolis, IN area code. I am a former inbound CCR with an outsourcer for cell phone companies. These procedures are patently illegal from my understanding. I am getting multiple calls during the day from both the 317 and an 866 number, same company by Google results. I did a Google search, so I haven't answered the phone as yet. They are currently calling only my cell phone, so I presume that they are calling the previous number holder.

They're a relentless collection agency, unusally for defaulted student loans. Even if you try to work with them they are SO rude, don't even bother wasting your time!

This number is from TG Collectors for a defaulted student loan. I recognized the name of the collector. They are very rude when you talk with them.
