I continue to receive A "GMAC" message from this number every day. I'm never able to get through when returning the call. I have no accounts with them nor are we behind on our mortgage (which is through someone else.

It's GMAC all right, Gov'ment Mortgage. I have an account but as others have reported, GMAC starts the auto-dial-a-customer before the payment is even due! It's ridiculous, but what can I expect from a government-run entity? Social Security, DMV, Government Motors, 0bamacare, OMG.

They are calling me about 3 times a day! I answer it and nobody answers me and then they hang up! I call the number back and its ALWAYS busy! Who ever these people are I wish they would stop calling me!

this nmbr has been calling my phone numerous times daily, asking for my sisters name, maiden name that is, saying she has a balleys gym debt. Her name has been diff for years, y r they calling my nmbr asking for someone else, who is actually my sister, i told them they too were also being recorded and i was reporting them, they r still calling, i will block this nmbr now. i do have gmac also and it is not there nmbr, can u say SCAM...

They would be holding to many properties that are not worth what your loan amount says it is. Just stay and squat like the other 50% of American home owners are doing. Then if the day ever comes for the bank to sell, they'll have lost on the sell anyway, and hopefully you'll have saved enough money to buy your next one, or the one you?re in for less. On 2/11/2012 recieved automated call from said number wanting my last four of the SSN#, just hanged up. I do have a GMAC account but I'm not behind. Bunch of scammers. Please do not give out any info, if you have questions call GMAC to verifie.

Yep, its GMAC.  What a stupid company.  They must be in financial trouble.  They call wanting you to pay over the phone, trying to trick you by telling you the terms have changed.  They start calling on the 2nd and continue until you pay.  I used to pay on the 5th or 6th, but they annoyed me so much I now pay on the 15th.  I never answer any of their stupid calls.  How smart are they!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  By the way, I've never been late.

Beware if you have a home loan from GMAC they will call you and harass if the payment is not made on the 1st of the month and we all know there is a10day to 15 day grace period where you can make the payment and still be on time.

This number calls 5x every day. I have a GMAC Mortgage, for which I am current. A voice mail message is left stating that the status of my mortgage has change and to immediately return their call to an 800 # that is not one of GMAC's 800#s. I WISH THEY'D STOP CALLING ME!

I want them to stop calling me

GMAC keeps calling and asking for a different name.  I have told them to quit calling me or I will report them.

My mortgage was sold to GMAC shortly after the ink was dry on it. Around May of 2011 these calls started, most often no one is on the line. I started ignoring them and now a  computerized message gives a callback number which I haven't called. My morgage is due on the first and is late after the 15th of the month. Like everyone else the calls start around the 2nd. What no one else have posted is that the calls stop after you make your mortgage payment and don't start again till the 2nd rolls around again... This tells me it is GMAC with some new sofware ment to harrass you into paying your mortgage before the 1st of the month. I suspect someone has crunched the numbers and figired out that a significat amount of money can be made or saved if everyone pays thier mortgage before due or ontime.

Stop calling me. If these unwanted calls persist, i  will have no other option but to file harassment charges and you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent the law allows..

They've been calling me several times per day.  I've told them in the past to stop calling my cell phone and they said they would stop but continue to harass me.  I wish they would leave me alone!

GMAC BOUGHT MY LOAN ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO.  I HAVE NEVER BEEN LATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THEY CALL ME CONSTANTLY, STARTING ON THE 2ND OF THE MONTH. AT MY HOME, AT WORK I HAVE UNTIL THE 15TH TO MADE MY PAYMENT, BUT THEY APPARENTLY ARE DEMANDING THAT I PAY ON THE 1ST.  THEY SAY THE TERMS OF MY LOAN HAVE BEEN CHANGED.   NOPE----------I KNOW BETTER THAN THAT ONE.  THIS COMPANY IS CRAZY.  DON'T THEY HAVE ENOUGH PEOPLE NOT PAYING THEIR MORTGAGE THAT THEY CAN HARASS.  I'VE NEVER HEARD OF A COMPANY TREATING THEIR GOOD CUSTOMERS THIS WAY.
THIS IS A RENTAL, THE MARKET IS BASICALLY CLOSED FOR RENTAL MORTGAGES.  BUT AS SOON AS THINGS CHANGE I'M GETTING RID OF GMAC.  AND IF YOU'RE THINKING ABOUT GETTING A MORTGAGE WITH THEM RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOOK FOR ANOTHER ONE.  THIS ONE STINKS.

GMAc usually calls me on the 4th of everymonth, because I doin't make my payment until the 7th. They try to get me to pay by phone right away for a $15.00 extra charge, but the payment isn't technically late until the 15th. I just ignore them, and to date I've not had any repercussions.

Same thing, GMAC Disaster Relief.  I called GMAC last night and after sitting through all the lovely useless information I finally got the option to press "0" for a customer service rep.  I explained that I receive 2-3 calls a day and I would like them to stop.  Today my phone rang one time with the same number and immediately stopped ringing.  Hopefully they are stopped now.

I get about 5 a day, even on saturday and sunday, "We are aware about the recent hurricane..."

I'm getting those automated calls too - at least 5 a day!  Same number! very annoying!!!  I was going to call GMAC today and ask them to verify that it is them calling me. Maybe I won't waste my time.

They call me several times a day!!! When I answer nothing and they leave nothing on my vm. Soooo annoying!

I tried to get my number removed but they just kept saying they needed more information. The only things I would give them were the 2 things they SOMEHOW already knew when they left the voicemail my name and phone number.
They put me on hold then came back saying they needed my last 4 digits of my social security number.
I said that's BS just remove my number & name but she said they need the SS number to do so, so then I hung up. I'm really getting pissed with them because they are calling multiple times a day for weeks since hurricane Irene hit our area.
So I recommend just calling GMAC and report them sooner or later they have to stop... I HOPE!

We have a gmac loan and are current on our payments. We've been getting calls from this number for a couple weeks now. Thanks for all these posts. I am glad I've never answered the calls.

Wife got a recording this afternoon asked for her social....she hung up.

Tried to call back and it's busy.

I saw the # & did not pick up....Appears to be the 1st time they called per my missed calls list.  I do have a GMAC mortage & there WAS a hurricane a month ago.  All in all, I'm ignoring it....

I've been getting the same call from the same phone number... and they keep saying they want so and so to call before certain dates... since Aug... and wish I knew how to block the call..  first of all the name they ask for is not I... and we haven't even been in any flood.....  we never had dealing with  GMAC....   this should be against the law......

I keep getting calls from 319-833-8531 and found out it is not GMAC as they say.

I got a voice mail message last week from this number saying they wanted to help since we had recent disaster in our area, (floods).  To please call by Sept. 13th.  We were not affected by the floods so I didn't call back.  They are still calling and I am not answering, especially after reading these remarks.  I don't answer calls from area codes I don't recognize, there usually a scam or telemarketer.
