We received an email 4/7/14 from Victor Reineke in Haiti seeking to place  a large quantity of aerobic flooring.  It looked suspicious and so I googled his name and the ship to address and found it being reported as a scam on this site.  The wording of the email was exactly the same as has been reported previously; the only difference is that the forwarder was Mr Kelvin Larry of Swift Logistics Shipping Co.  I have attached the following thread of our conversation:

We received an internet order using the exact wording below from a Mr. Van Nelson asking us to ship 350 solar screen products to Haiti.  I googled the ship to address and found this site.  Thanks for posting!  Needless to say we didn't pursue this.  We also received a similar request from Mr. Perry Morrison with the same information.

In contacting Crime Stoppers and then the Police. I was advised that there is a division that specializes specifically in these types of scams in Canada called the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. If you are in Canada and are targeted by this scam or any other scam and have not suffered a loss of funds you can contact them at: 1-888-495-8501 or visit there website at www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca If you have suffered a loss of funds contact your local police department.  

We also received an email requesting to place an order for 55 Tub Transfer Benches to send to Haiti. This email was sent from a Mr. Victor Reineke. Which is a name I have not yet seen posted on this blog. Victor advised us through email that he would like to pay for these 55 units via Credit Card. All emails were written in a urgent manner advising us that he needed this order to be shipped ASAP. We advised Victor that we would need prepayment to proceed with the order which is when we received the below response which is the same as other posts above and references Mr. John Dilworth. I found this blog by Googling "Mr. John Dilworth, Reliable Global Logistics" The nature of this scam is very disconcerting as when you originally read this email it seems as though it is a good cause and a great sale for our company. As our original thoughts and gut feeling gave us that this is too good to be true, we were correct in that this is a scam. If you receive this email do yourself and your company a favour and do not respond. Luckily we did not loose any money due to this scam thankfully to this blog and all the people who have posted there experiences which is why I have done the same to hopefully help any future companies that may be targeted. From what I can see it seems as though you would contact the Logistics company to receive the shipping quote. Email the "customer" back advising them of the shipping quote and now their total invoice balance. The customer would then pay the invoice on credit card. You would then recontact the Logistics company advising them that the order is ready to be picked up who would then request you to wire transfer them the cost of shipping, for the credit card provided by your "customer" to then bounce back a few days later. Leaving you with an excess of product the "Logistics company" will not be picking up and payment to a fraudulent logistics company. I hope that this posts helps any other companies dealing with this terrible scam. I will be reporting this scam to Crime Stoppers.

We also received an email about ordering 200 Bath seats, with backs, with the instructions to ship to Haiti.  We were wary, and googled the address.  The contact's name was Larry Craig.  I also googled Larry Craig.  This does not seem legitimate to me.

JUst like everyone else stated above. If you get a call from this person. Do yourself a favor and avoid it.
Mr Morrison if thats even his name. Called us back in july 2013 Requesting prices on 500 pails of a product. Hungry for a sale we rushed this order. We had to purchase all the items to make and therefore had Perry pre pay the order. Which he completed with three different credit cards.  We also had to deal with the freight people Emi, Not sure if they are even real either. Well we were to wire funds for the freight which in turn went into a private account supposedly Owned by a Janet Mcclintlock. We're not sure if she was involved. However our bank would not wire the funds into a private account. Two days later one card was chargedback as fraud and the other two soon followed.

We were emailed and called by a Louis Leitch asking us to ship flooring products to Haiti.  He asked us to include shipping from a company called Reliable Global Logistics Co.  Thanks in part to the messages on this board we were able to avoid the scam.

* This scam even included a legitimate credit card number with exp date and c v v #.

I have attached spam side of correspondence.  I looked up shipping company and was able to find one with a similar name in CO and spoke to an individual that has said this has been happening more and more frequently.  Please Beware.

We sell equipment mirrors and I just go this email....no phone call ...but I haven't responded and our website does not post a phone number,....we are email only.......I have seen this type of crap before, usually from Nigeria or the such....so figured it was a scam.  I googled the name Perry Morrison and it took me to this blog...here is an exact cut and paste of the email....notice the crappy grammer and sentence stucture...and why ask me the types we have and price, etc. when it is all clearly posted right on site.....definitely sounds like a scam...  I'll play with them a bit and see what I info. I can get and repost later...

got the same type of email from "Mike" who wanted to order material, sent me to get a quote from "Perry Morrison" of Reliable Global Logistics Co through email.  My product is hazardous and "Perry" wanted to air freight it.  Anyone seen the movie 'CastAway'?  Come on, you know there's hazmat rules and regulations.  "Perry" would not give me his phone number by email, but he called me from 'unavailable'.  I got a phone number from him and it's a personal number which goes to his voicemail.  It's not the number you have but I googled the Ship to address:213  Avenue street Maurepas  Pettion Ville 87051, Haiti and found this site.  And wonders, three notices above me, is an order from PERRY to ship to the same address and HE gives a freight company for a quote.  
And 'Mike" actually gave me FOUR credit card numbers to pay for the material, One from each four corners of the United States, with 4 different names....He wanted to pay $76,000.00 on the cards in $5,000.00 increments.  Bizarre...

i got a request to ship furnace  filters (!) to Haiti.
the grammar in the e-mail was awkward, the shipping company did not show up on Google, and Mr Smith Brown--total red flag!!

the email did start out as a legitimate (if a little vague) e-mail, but i get those all the time to begin an inquiry.

did not click on the link to the shpping comany (sounds like just asking for a virus)

He has called the 800 number here and wants me to hurry and call the freight company, so that he can close the deal today.  I hung up the phone and immediately came to this website to check the number.  And what do you know.  Sorry Phil Smith ( ya right ) my last name was Smith and I have no relatives in Haiti.  Watch out for these guys.

I was contacted by e-mail about an antique clock off of our company's website.  After e-mailing the individual back with the price, the customer (Tom Smith...red flag #1) called me from this phone number.  When calling he urged me to e-mail a company called Global Express Freight Services at gexpress83@hotmail.com (a hotmail email address for an international shipping business??? red flag #2) to get a quote in order to ship the clock to his client in New Zealand (red flag #3).  After researching Global Express Freight Services, I did not find any evidence of them existing.  I then searched this area code and found several websites explaining that this area code shows up like a United States area code, but is actually from Ghana and is a scam. So please.....BEWARE!!!
