SCAM - I was contact this morning at my place of employment (number listed as unknown). Person asked for me, then identified himself as Investigator Don Mack. He then informed me that there was a warrant out for me for Check Fraud, and they had tagged my Drivers License, Social Security Number, and personal vehicle in an attempt to "get me", and that a Sheriff had been sent to my house on 3/5/13 to verify if I lived at my current address. He then told me that there was a court case in process, and that they had subpoenaed a friend of mine (who they stated may or may not have brought the charges up on  me), as well as my brother. He said he was calling me to give me a heads up, because he had reviewed my "record" and it was so squeaky clean he couldn't understand, nor wanted me to end up with a misdemeanor and/or jail time. He said if I paid $900 by the end of the day, he could get the judge to drop the case, call back the subpoena, and release my DL, SSN, and vehicle from being tagged.  I was terrified and didn't understand why or what was going on, so I provided him my debit card information and told him he could run at 5:30 when I made my deposit.  I then thought twice and decided to check this out and contacted the Cuyahoga County Court to request if I had any outstanding warrants, civil cases, or judgments against me, too which I was informed that I did not. They also verified with Medina County for me.  I contact the "investigator" back and told him what he was doing was illegal, and if wanted he could contact me via us mail, and to cease and deceased all phone calls to me personally or at my place of employment.

Received a robo call from this number stating that my bank had returned an item to them and that I needed to speak with an associate or they would file a complaint with county arbitration.

Sounds like a scam that was recently mentioned on TV.  The elderly get scared and often send this guy money, when nothing is owed.
