There is no money.  You don't "pay to get your money", you pay to get ripped off.  Take the time to read your spam bucket and you'll soon see the same old scams over and over and over again.  Learn to spot them (hint:  they are ALL scams so it's easy to spot).  The occasional message gets past spam filters.  But by reading the various scams that hit your spam bucket (in plain text - don't enable HTML reading in your email client) you'll learn to spot them (again, it's not hard, they are ALL scams, even those that evade spam filters).

I called the # using Google phone (tested by calling home first to make sure the caller ID wasn't my email address) and got a computer voice recorded message.  I entered a bogus code, got some error.  I called back and entered the code from my email, still got an error.  Either their system is messed up, or when nobody is there to man the phones they throw out the error saying to call back, or it's always an error to get you to reply to the email.  The phone number part of it may be simply optics to build up the social engineering facade in hopes it will convince some that it's real.

One last note:  they are ALL scams, ALL of them, every single one.  Don't ever reply thinking it "may" be true, or "just in case" it's true.  If you do, they will find a ch*nk in your defense armor and eventually have you thinking, "this might be real and you will most likely become a victim.  If you are strong willed and want to have fun with them, go at it but use a throwaway account and don't provide real information.

Has anyone checked their phone bill to see if they are getting paid for you calling the number? It seems as if everyone got the same 'winning number'. Can't figure out the 'catch'...this is a lot of effort. The winner must have to pay to get their money...

What was your first clue this might be a scam?  ANY time you get one of these, especially when it comes out of the blue, assume it is a scam.  You'll find 110% of the time that is exactly what it is: A scam.
