Oh, yeah!! We were just scammed by this guy too. What a joke!! I hope more people see these post before actually falling for this.

I got a similar response to an ad on CL. glad I googled the number. I knew it sounded fishy when he didn't want to negotiate the price with me. He was fine with my first price listed after I told him I'd be willing to lower it. SCAM

I'm on the same boat. I placed an ad for Mattress on the Craigslist and got the same response "I'm out of town, send me your address to post the MO". Glad I googled this number!

I placed a for sale ad on cl for sale.  I received a call from 347-699-5982, saying that he left his cell phone in his hotel room, & he is making a call from his cousins phone number.  The first calls I received  were from a phone #613-917-8324 supposedly from Ohio, but he was out of town in Canada.  Sounds like a scam to me. So I decide to Keep the Rims.

Same situation as above entries.  Responded to a craigslist ad and indicated he would be sending a money order to include cost of movers.

He was wanting to send me a money order and needed my addres so I gave him my po box then replayed that he needed a home address.

it is a craigslist scammer ring.

Got a text reguarding a craiglist add that I have for a guitar also.  The text read; Your guitar on CL interest me kindly get back to me if still available.   signed Dave.      I responded:  Where are you located and are you a telemarketer?     I have not heard back form this number.

Just got a text about my guitar saying they wanted to know the price on my guitar that's on craigslist. I live in wisconsin. Why don't they get a real job like the rest of us. I'm pretty sure its a scam. Good thing I googled the number first. Thanx guys!

Same here.  Wanted to send me a money order for amount of my guitar plus shipping.  Wanted me to cash it, take out my part and give guitar and rest to his "shipper".

I received a text and email saying: (from an ad I put on Craigslist for babysitting)
Hi, How are you ? I am in need of a babysitter for my son Jed when am away so if you are still available kindly let me know so i can give you more detail about the job offer am a single parent and live with a dog Tommy. Thanks and God Bless you

Same as everyone else here. I have a guitar for sale on craigslist . They want to send money order for more and have shipper pick up. I asked what shipper and they wouldn't answer me. I rejected the payment.

Yep, same as Nick.  They responded via text to a craigslist ad I have posted for my guitar.  Said they're out of town, but would send a large check and movers to come get the item.

They tried to perpetrate a scam, the old we will give you a check for more than we owe you, you cash it and give us the rest not too bright but im sure some have and will fall for it
