I got the same call yesterday saying that was a lawyer for this company Federal Legislation legal department saying  I owed $212 dollars when I asked him what year the loan was taken out he hung on me. When I tried to call the number back went to voice mail with nothing on it.

I keep getting calls from that number as well. He had my SSN. Ever since I went to a loan site, I have been getting these wierd calls from this number. They just called again and said they were Federal Legislation Legal Department Law Firm. Everytime we call back it beeps and then he just called again and said he was too busy and to call back in about 10 minutes.

I got a call from this number today as well.  They again told me I had 3 charges against me for a loan I did not receive.  The threatened me with loss of licence, passport, job, any sort of assistance for 3 years, loss of social security (not that I receive it), loss of business license, and 90 days jail time.  They told me that I was going to have to go to New York for court and will have to have $3,500 plus the $750+ they told me about if I did not want to go to jail.  I did call someone else to get an opinion about what to do.  I then called back and had it ring a bunch just to go to a beep... no message or anything.  When I finally got a hold of someone else (David Williams with a very heavy indian accent that I could not completely understand) he told me he was looking at my credit report and could not tell me why or to whom I owe the money.  I called the local sheriff's dept, and they said not to worry, if is it not a scam it is a civil matter not criminal.  They will not come and arrest me just because someone calls and asks and wont because of money owed.  Again, money owed is civil.  He claimed it sounded like a scam and not to worry about it at all.  The sheriff also said that if they were really trying to collect anything for someone, they would have to be clear on to whom, and what it was about.  Oh yeah, they also read me an "affidavit" which I could not interrupt him with any questions until the reading was over or it would go against me.

I got a call today at work from a man that wouldn't give his name and told me he was seeking legal action and when I asked what for he claimed he couldn't release that info because he is only a paralegal. He gave me the phone number for a man named David Williams at 347-857-8641 and said he could tell me all about it. I called the number and it went straight to VM and didn't even have a message it just beeped. He never requested money so they must be changing their MO. It was a man of an INDIAN accent though.

some one called me from a 347.979.7147 and left me about 5 messages on my cellphone and home phone telling me is was an urgent matter that is very time sensitive and i must call them back, if not may G*D bless me -__- ( I couldnt understand him) Then when i finally was able to answer my phones the guy said his name was John Johnson (he has an indian accent by the way) and he told me that there are 3 criminal charges against me I asked him for what & he said hes not at liberty to discuss and I must call the # thats on this forum ASAP before any further legal action is taken. SMH

Im glad I looked up one of the numbers and found this forum. I went straight to my credit report to see if anything looked weird.

AFTER I HUNG UP I CALLED THE SHERIFFS DEPT AN THEY CHECKED THE # AND SAID IT WAS A SCAM,NOT TO TALK TO THEM ANYMORE,BUT IT REALLY WORRIES ME THAT THEY HAVE MY SOCIAL SECURITY #,WHO KNOWS WHAT THESE FOOLS MIGHT TRY TO DO. I ONLY WISH I COULD FILE CHARGES AGAINST THEM,BUT THESE CALLS ARE REALLY COMING FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY,AN BEING MADE TO LOOK LIKE THERE FROM NY - BUT SINCE THERE IN ANOTHER COUNTRY THERE IS NOTHING THE LAW ENFORCEMENT CAN DO. i got a call this morning from this number stating that they had 3 charges on me from a loan that i never received. they said that they would get me fired from my job, report this to the local courthouse, have me arrested, extradite me to new york city where i will spend 60 days in jail if i don't go get 444.11 in a money order within in one hour of them calling. they also said i could not get off the phone with them the entire time and that i could not tell anyone else what was going on. claimed to be an attorney named joe brown. also said that they would freeze my bank accounts, ss#, and driver's license so i can't get a job. even read me an "affidavit."

This guy called and said the same thing on my voicemail. Said he was filing 3 criminal charges against me and I asked him the name of his company and he told me it was federal legislature which is a government agency.I asked what branch of government that was and he hung up. when I called back the number he gave me is was a fax machine.

This guy calle me and I couldnt understand him. He gave a me the number for a Jim Brown and was talking about a Legal Case against me for 3 charges. That they will put a black mark on all 3 credit bureuas, will freeze all my accounts, ask my employer to fire me and will not be able to get another job, flag my DL and SS#. They will file it with the Attorney General and sheriff so they will come and arrest me. Freaking people got me frustated, they wanted me to give them $471.32

These people keep calling me and harassing me saying I have criminal charges against me and they need my attorney's info and my info. I asked what is this regarding to and they would not tell me and told me to call a number that was saying leave a message for google. I really would like to report this number and I am going to figure out today how to do it. I am happy to see this is a scam and thankful for the responses. THIS IS A FRAUD CALL. Do not give them any information.

They have been calling me at work and repeatedly at home. They are threatening me with criminal charges and being arrested in front of my children or co-workers for a debt I don't owe. That cant even give me a date or company that I supposedly got a loan from. They are demanding that I pay $713 in cash and keep it "confidential".
