Yes, they called my business line which is a cell phone.  I put the number in my address book under the name B O G U S.  So if they call again, I know not to pick it up.

The call came through.  I didn't answer it.  When I called back there was a recording, seemingly from the phone company (??) saying that number was not in use!  The 402 area code is in Nebraska.

We are a medical office and it's not an option to just not answer a call from a number we don't recognize, because that's generally our patient base, as well as the other companies we do business with. That's a naive response to this problem, and it doesn't *solve* the problem.

This number calls us and there is no one on the other end.  Caller ID said "Health Benefits". Yet another reason why it's not an option for us to just "ignore" the call. This could be a valid business-related phonecall, but we don't know until we answer the phone.

Unfortunately, businesses aren't eligibile to be on the Do Not Call list, since they need to be... available for business(go figure). However..... these type of calls can still be reported through FCC as some have mentioned.

You're right but you might as well start trying out 24-hr answering services - yes, the old kind from the 60's to 80's before voice mail which is your other option and there's always Google mail. There was one other service for businesses but I for get the name - it's was on Andrew Locke's Help! My Business Sucks.

Answering Services with real humans  are now call-centers and they work the best.  You don't get bothered and eventually those idiots quit calling and you don't miss any calls.  Sometimes spending $300 or $400 a month is worth what you might be missing in new business.

suzym- Simply not answering the phone doesn't solve all of your problems. I own a business and I'm very busy so it's ridiculous to be running to the phone or putting a good customer on hold to answer this b***s*** call a hundred times a day. Why do they waste their time on people who are not interested? Not to meniton, this isn't the ONLY place that won't quit calling so out of a hundred phone calls probably 20 or more are someone trying to sell something, offer a loan, or are requesting money for SOMETHING.

The real problem is that nothing is ever done to them when they harrass people.

Oh and when you own a business it's not good practice not to answer calls you don't recognize. No one leaves a message anymore. They call someone else.

Multiple call's daily.  Can't speak to anyone to get off their list.

Caller ID People - solves all your problems.  If you don't recognize the number, you DON'T ANSWER!  What a concept!

I just file a complaint against this number on the fcc website.  I recommend that everyone do this.

Same as everyone else.  They won't remove my number.  they call at least twice a day sometimes 4 times a day.  I press 7, and the guy hangs up on me.

They call every morning and give me some bs about free money for my company.  I hit 2 every morning to take me off the calling list and they call the very next day.  I finally talked to a human being and they hung up on me.

We've had the exact same thing happen.  Two words and they hung up.

They called saying it was their second time calling so I pushed 7 to get a live operator.  I spoke to they gentleman and said "I pushed seven to speak with you because I guess pressing 2 does not remove me from your list".  I got as far as the word "two" in that sentence he hung up on me.  Is it just businesses they are calling or is it others?

didn't answer the call but this number keeps calling my cell phone. When I call it back i get no answer.
