I received an e-mail saying that they are from ACS Legal Group and that I owe a loan Company by the name of Adevance Cash America $663.00 and that my SSN is getting ready to be put on hold because I have ignored them. Well I have never taken out a pay day loan or any other loan from an cash advance place. This is very weird.The email address it came from was Charlesshackett@acslegalgroup.com

And they must have caller id...he knew my name.  Beware!  Time to report them...

Not debt collector.  It is a scam "sweepstakes" company...beware.  I know exactly how they got our number too...my son filled out one of those "You won an Ipad!" things that popped up on Utube.  He let me see it before he submitted it...I botched my name spelling and took off my cell number but the home number remained.  I googled the number and called back...the guy said I won a "giftbasket"...told him I knew it was a scam.  He was indignant and said he would just give it to someone else.  I am just surprised how quickly the number filtered down to their bottom feeder telemarketers.

Bogus "sweepstakes" company.  Beware.  My son filled in a form via Utube because it said he won an IPad...I was able to clean it up (botch my name spelling, take off my cell number) but I didn't remove the home phone...rats!!!  This was just yesterday...I am surprised how quickly they got the info out to their bottom feeders.  I told the guy I knew it was BS...he was quite miffed that I did not want the giftbasket.

It is a debt collection scam.

I believe this call is in connection to a debt collection agency called PennCredit which is trying to collect a debt that I do not owe for a internet book club called the Literary Guild. These morons sent a bunch of automatic shipments after I had completed my membership and canceled all further business with them and I even have the paper work from them that says so. I was not a member, they sent them anyway; I did not ask for them, they sent them anyway; I sent back all the shipments, they try to bill me anyway. I live in NorCal and at the time this was happening there was 6 forest fires surrounding the area of Butte County. People died, people lost their homes, and some people like me only had to evacuate our homes 5 times over almost a three month period and during this time had to find alternative ways to pay bills and deal with the mail issues, oh and surviving. Anyway these are the tricky ways slimey people do for a living. I can't even begin to count how many times I have explained this to these morons at PennCredit and The Literary Guild. They want me to prove the forest fire, evacuations and a bunch of other crap to settle a $70.00 debt for books that aren't even good for starting a fire and that was never mine to begin with. I am glad business with them is on the phone, cause I get the feeling that they would try to kick me in the crotch. This is a scam! I gave the guy I talked to an email address that I use for vetting out scams. Nothing has been sent like they claim. They think they are real smart, they use the same tactics that scammers use and that says a whole lot about their business doesn't it? If I owed the money I wouldn't be complaining, but I will not provide a life for snakes.

Got a call from 404-418-4005 today and dummy me called it back. I think when you call back - even though my number is private - they capture your info. So, the guy called me by name in answering and said he was from some publishing house. I said I don't want magazines. He said I filled out something on line that allowed me to win - ta da! - $400 in gift cards etc that will be mailed to me. Stupid stupid me.  he knew my name, address, and phone number. he wanted verifcation of my age and email account. said I'd get an email wihthin 24 hours to confirm with a link and then then the gift would be sent. Stupid stupid me. Gave him my email address.  Stupid stupid me.

I thought it was a missed call from a business associate. I should put a whistle next to my phone and blow it in these people's ears when they call.

I got a call saying I was a finalist for a $1million prize. They tried to get me to answer a series of personal questions such as my age and marital status. After refusing to answer the third question they hung up on me.

Leaves "static" noise on voice mail.  Just started receiving calls from this number at work.  Starting to wonder the company I did business with over the Internet that sold my information.  Not happy to receive these bothersome calls.

I get so tired of random or unknown callers.......I work midnights & these people NEVER leave a message!! All they do is wake me up for nothing. They are calling a cell phone that is on the "Do Not Call" list. I have had the same number for more than 10 years & it's only recently (maybe the last 10 - 12 months) that I have started to receive these annoying calls. When I tried to call the number back to find out who it was all I heard was "thank you for calling, please hold for the next available representative"..........right, let me sit there, wait for you so you can try & sell me some crap I don't want, then have you cop an attitude when I tell you "NO & please do NOT call this number again". Not to mention chew up my minutes (because it's a cell phone & I do not have a regular land line). These people need to get a life and STOP!!!!!!

Nimber calls periodically throughout the day, when answered it has nothiung but silence, they continue to call...finally received a live person on the other end, it is a response from an online survey company promoting magazine sales and a chance to enter sweepstakes for large sums of money...recent attempts to have them remove my number, they KEEP CALLING!

This number calls me, and leave a voicemail with music. I am going to report this number to the police if this continues.

They call and either leave music when you don't answer or they try to sell you something. They are RUDE when you ask to be taken off their call list. This is inappropriate solicitation for business.

i receive several calls a day ( sometimes 10 or more!) on my cel from the phone #  404 418 4005 and when i answer all i hear is bad muzac, like elevator music/ instrumentals. i reverse looked up this number and it is a landline  number based in fulton county georgia, but no name is attached to it.

I got the muzac call from (404)418-4005 too. That's twice today in as many hours. I got the same type of call from (520)399-6721.

This number keeps calling my home, and they do not say anything when I answer.  I called it back and just got a person saying "This is Joey, how can I help you?' and then I realized it is a scam.

I get more than 2 calls a day from this number.  I thought someone loves  "Kenny G" and has nothing better to to do but play his music over the phone.  I don't need telemarking scammers calling me daily.
I bet they don't call each other or their relatives with such crap. My phone has a second ring tone for out of my area code phone numbers, therefore I don't answer the calls. My phone sevice stops certain calls after the second ring if is a pre-recorded 1-800 number.  There are laws regarding scams and such, don't these laws apply to this company?  An answering machine that screens calls is very effective.  That's something a telemarking company should sell! LOL ;)

I got two call and a voicemail in one day from this number. It's just music playing for a short while then hangs up.

This number called today saying I won $25 million dollar then asked me to subscribe to some magazines. I said NO and then said I am not interested.  I also hung up on them. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.
